From achieving the remarkable feat on the slopes to becoming a successful businesswoman, alpine skiing legend Lindsey Vonn has impressed her fans in all aspects. Although she is a worldwide inspiration, Lindsey does not feel special about her ecstatic, triumphant Olympic victory in the alpine skiing world. That never say die attitude seems to be fueling her, craving for more laurels. But what lies yonder of that pure champion energy she thrives on?
The winner of four World Cup overall championships, Vonn, bared her heart out on her lofty yet achievable Olympic goals in a recent podcast on YouTube with interviewer and US former basketball player Dwyane Wade.
Lindsey Vonn unfurls her Olympic triumphs
Making her appearance on Dwyane Wade’s recent podcast on YouTube, Vonn disclosed her true feelings as an Olympian. And they aren’t bereft of hard work and tenacity. The GOAT of skiing remarked, “It was always my dream, right, you know when you have a dream to be professional, my dream is to be an Olympian. I didn’t think I was going to be anything other than an Olympian. And then once I made it to the Olympics when I was 17, then it’s, you know, like, okay, what’s the next goal?”.
Apart from expressing her thoughts on Olympic glory, she continued to talk about her passion, the gravity of becoming an Olympian. Lindsey explained that she knew better about her next triumph as she wanted to be better every time as an enthusiastic competitor. “I just got better and better and, you know, winning more and more, and I didn’t think I was special. I just loved what I was doing, and I strived to always be better. And by the end, it was pretty good,” she quips gallantly. What clandestine secrets propel her to give it her all, though?
Vonn, de facto champion of the slopes
Achieving astounding triumphs in alpine skiing, Lindsey Vonn has become somewhat of a messiah for aspiring skiers and girls the world over. She had a passion for skiing since she was just 7 years old and started training for the same. Excluding her professional overtures, nobody can discount/overlook the indelible difference she made to the entrepreneurial work with her philanthropy.
The Minnesota native has not only competed in four Olympics but gave tough competition to her opponents. With her extraordinary skills, Lindsey Vonn clinched one gold medal and two bronze medals during her career. Apart from that, she also left remarkable feet in World Cup championships by earning the four women’s World Cup overall championships titles, respectively. The 39-year-old Vonn also has the honor of becoming the first woman to win 82 World Cup races during her career. We wait with bated breath as to what Vonn’s non-sleepy post retirement shenanigans entail.
