Vonn will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest Alpine skiers to have ever graced the sport. Now that the Olympic gold medalist hung her professional boots four years ago, it looks like her shot at being a trainer might be just the thing to keep her fans satiated.
While not all icons of a sport can necessarily turn out to be wisdom-filled trainers, Vonn’s experiences in Alpine skiing can make all the difference. While Lindsey Vonn continues to stay fit through arduous training, it seems like she also has additional tips for newcomers to the fold!
Lindsey Vonn makes skiing fun for Ashley Graham
In her recent Instagram post, Vonn shared images of herself and celebrity model Ashley Graham as they took on steep hills hand-in-hand. Graham and Vonn can be seen posing candidly in Switzerland as they smile broadly for the camera. “Ash, you’ve given me new meaning to PIZZA!!“, reads the jubilant post, which we can only assume to be an inside joke between the two.
Vonn also went on to write that Graham’s novice antics must have ticked a few nerves for her, and the iconic skier had to go into “crazy mode” from time to time. “…hopefully my crazy mom yelling helped lol!“, wrote the two-time world champion skier.
Another short video clip showed the model getting her first skiing steps under constant observation from Vonn. While Graham seemed wobbly at times, she did manage to hold on to the ground pretty well. But Graham isn’t the only one who’s been blessed by the companionship of Vonn in recent days.
Vonn and White may have accidentally stumbled into something new
Vonn was also witnessed experimenting with a “new team sport” with the legendary Shaun White. The two were spotted playing around the snow, trying to combine snowboarding and skiing, giving fans the thought that a new sport might be in the making! Even after moving away from the sport, the thrill has not yet left Lindsey Vonn. She once again proved it with an activity as the new year started.
Weeks ago, Lindsey Vonn skied down the legendary Streif at Kitzbühel in Austria, known as one of the world’s most dangerous ski courses. While the legendary downhill wasn’t a course she could conquer during her professional career, she made up for it by skiing down the course at night recently. With so much in her life still supplying the thrills, it waits to be seen what Vonn has planned for her new disciples in the coming days.
