With an impeccable boxing record of 50-0, Mayweather’s prowess in the ring has translated into staggering earnings and an unrivaled net worth

Despite his humble beginnings, Mayweather’s career earnings have soared to an astonishing $1.1 billion, making him one of the wealthiest athletes globally.

His net worth, as of 2024, stands at a jaw-dropping $450 million.

What is the salary of Floyd Mayweather?
During his illustrious career, Mayweather secured fifteen major world titles, establishing himself not only as the richest but also one of the most decorated boxers of all time.

Before turning professional, he had already claimed an Olympic bronze medal and three national Golden Gloves titles, laying the groundwork for his future dominance in the sport.

Mayweather’s ability to negotiate lucrative fight deals has been a key driver of his astronomical wealth. His showdowns against boxing legends like Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor have resulted in eye-watering paychecks, with reported earnings reaching $300 million and $350 million respectively.

Notably, Mayweather’s guaranteed disclosed paycheck for his fights often pales in comparison to his actual earnings.

For instance, while his guaranteed paycheck for a fight might stand at $100 million, his actual earnings could soar to an astonishing $275 million, showcasing his unparalleled drawing power and revenue generation capability.

The magnitude of Mayweather’s earnings becomes even more staggering when compared to other athletes.

He sits proudly as the fifth highest-paid athlete of all time, alongside sporting icons like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods.

What sets Mayweather apart is his ability to amass such wealth primarily through his boxing endeavors, with endorsement deals forming only a fraction of his earnings.

Mayweather’s real estate investments
Beyond the boxing ring, Mayweather has diversified his wealth through smart investments in real estate.

His property portfolio boasts luxurious residences in prime locations, serving as testaments to his keen eye for lucrative opportunities.

In Las Vegas, Mayweather’s primary residence since 2018 is an opulent 11-bedroom custom-built mansion spanning 22,000 square feet, acquired for $10 million.

Additionally, he owns a lavish 13,000-square-foot mansion in Vegas, purchased for $9.5 million, which served as his primary residence from 2010 to 2018.

The boxing icon’s real estate empire extends beyond Vegas, with notable acquisitions including a $25.5 million mansion in Beverly Hills, equipped with extravagant amenities such as a candy shop, a 12-seat movie theater, and a 300-bottle wine room.

In August 2021, Mayweather expanded his real estate holdings with an $18 million waterfront mansion on Miami’s Palm Island.

Outside the ring, Mayweather’s business ventures further bolster his financial empire.

He owns Mayweather Promotions, a successful promotional company, and TMT, his own apparel brand.

Mayweather’s extravagant lifestyle is characterized by luxury cars, private jets, and an extensive jewelry collection.

Despite occasional rumors of financial troubles, Mayweather’s strategic investments and his approach to wealth management have ensured his enduring prosperity.

Up until Alycia Baumgardner called on Claressa Shields for a fight, no one fathomed of such possibilities. However, now both the fighters have expressed their readiness to fight each other. While doing so, they have ensured that their trash-talk is A-game. Shields, the ‘GWOAT’, as she titles herself, even went as far as to predict the results of their fight.

In October last year, a fan nudged Baumgardner to clash against Shields. Without any qualms, the Detroit-based fighter called on Shields. For the GWOAT, such provocation came as a surprise because of their previous friendly relations with one another. While Shields expressed her admiration for the undisputed super featherweight champion, the callout put a dent in their relationship, and soon things got ugly with social media sparring and public run-ins. A fight between the two thus became a public demand despite the weight discrepancy between the two. The same demand was recently put to Shields by a fan on X and answered she did.

“Pure Facts!”
On her X, the 28-year-old responded to an account that belonged to a fan who suggested that a fight between the two be made. They predicted that the fight would be the biggest in women’s boxing today before concluding their claim as “Pure Facts.”

https://x.com/Claressashields/status/1758599660745241000?s=20

While this was in no possible way a dig toward both the fighters and did not pick any sides, Claressa Shields seemed to be offended by the neutrality. For her, the fight is one-sided. Her confidence was so strong that she even considered that a potential fight against ‘The Bomb’ was not that big a deal for her.

Responding to the post, the undisputed middleweight champion wrote, “And when I beat tf out of her [evil smile emoji] then what!? It’s gonna be a one sided a** whoopin AND YOU KNOW IT!!! And it’s other girls I could fight that would be bigger! PURE FACTS!”

After competing in two MMA fights (winning one), Shields is geared up for her return to the Octagon on February 24th, facing Florida-based fighter Kelsey DeSantis. Recently, discussions about an MMA bout with Savanah Marshall have also gained traction. Shields may now focus on fights that can propel her up the ranks, rather than engaging in a bout solely as a response to a rift with a fellow competitor, that too from a lower-weight division.

However, if the latter course is still chosen, how would it come about? Claressa Shields answers that too

Claressa Shields vs. Alycia Baumgardner: Weight Struggles
29-year-old, Baumgardner rules the Featherweight class with an undisputed title. Sheilds on the other hand holds her reign of the same nature in the middleweight class. To make a fight between them happen, this weight difference is a bigger barrier than any other detail that one might think of. For Shields, however, a fight at any weight would be acceptable. While she leaves the decision to choose a weight for their fight with Baumgardner, Shields has one only demand: belts on the line.

In an X post, in the initial days of this back and forth, Shields wrote, “P4P #1 wins at any weight class. I’d 100% fight @alyciambaum at 147 154 or 160 or 168 as long as it’s a Belt or multiple belts on the line. You know I’m not hard to make a fight with.”

For Shields, this fight might not be her priority, for she never intended to fight Alycia Baumgardner. She considered her to be a close ally, and a fight between them was out of the question until Baumgardner sought it. Now it remains to be seen if a fight between the two sees the light of day.

McGregor posted a new video of him sparring that drew praise from Bridges but fans told him to choice a training partner that will actually hit back

Conor McGregor’s latest training video sparked praise from close friend Ebanie Bridges – but some of his fans didn’t share the same sentiment.

The UFC legend is gearing up for his highly-anticipated comeback fight against Michael Chandler but is still without a date despite being announced over a year ago. McGregor has been posting more training footage of late compared to last year and the likes of his teammate Kiefer Crosbie and UFC star Paulo Costa praised him for looking “sharp” in the clio.

World champion boxer Bridges commented flame and love heart emojis whilst boxing legend Evander Holyfield wrote: “Ok then”. Some fans questioned McGregor’s sparring partner in the clip with one comment reading: “Stop sparring yesmen and get someone that tries to hurt you.”

“He needs more sparring partners that will actually throw punches at him, because these guys ain’t it,” a second comment read. “Why don’t you actually spar an actual UFC fighter? For example, go train with Khamzat, I remember him inviting you to train with him,” another user wrote. “Conor needs to spar guys who actually want him to get better not some yes men,” a final comment read.

McGregor was ineligible to fight for most of last year having dropped out of the USADA drug testing pool after breaking his leg. The Irishman re-entered the testing pool last October but the UFC have since cut ties with USADA to launch a new testing program with Drug Free Sport. McGregor moved closer to his comeback fight by providing two samples to the organization last month.

Assuming that McGregor doesn’t fight until late summer, over three years would have passed since his last fight. McGregor and Chandler were pushing for their fight to take place at UFC 300 in April, but head honcho Dana White insisted the Irishman is unlikely to fight until autumn.

Chandler said of his fight with McGregor: “I want battlegrounds of epic proportions, I want to stand in the cage with that man, I want to break that man’s will, I want to break his jaw. I want to separate him from consciousness, completely flatline him inside the octagon, and then we say farewell to the sport’s biggest star. Then we can go about our merry way.”

Davis took to social media to share his opinion on Usher’s hug to Alicia Keys

Super Bowl LVIII’s halftime show brought together iconic performers, dazzling displays, and unexpected moments that left viewers raving about it. Amidst the spectacle, R&B sensation Usher stole the spotlight with his electrifying performance, but it was a interaction with Alicia Keys that ignited a flurry of discussion, fueled by boxing champ Gervonta Davis and his commentary.

Decked in all-white attire, Usher commanded the stage with his signature moves, treating viewers to a load of hits that had the stadium rocking.

In a spontaneous move, Usher went off script, drawing Alicia Keys into a brief embrace during their duet performance. The display of hug between the two music titans was intended to convey the spirit of collaboration and mutual admiration, but it was not without its critics.

Gervonta Davis, known for his outspoken nature, took to social media to share his perspective on the incident. In a now-deleted tweet, Davis questioned the appropriateness of Usher’s actions, expressing concern over the speculated intimacy of the moment, particularly given Alicia Keys’ marital status.

Davis echoed the remarks of many people who saw the show
Davis’ remarks sparked a wave of discussion online, with spectators weighing in on the nature of Usher and Alicia Keys’ onstage interaction. Some defended the performers, interpreting the embrace as a harmless display of professional chemistry. Others echoed Davis’ sentiments, suggesting that such displays could be misconstrued.

Despite the controversy, both Usher and Alicia Keys remained focused on delivering an unforgettable performance, showcasing their undeniable talent. The duo’s collaboration was met with widespread acclaim, with fans celebrating their on-stage chemistry and the magic of their duet.

Meanwhile, Gervonta Davis stood by his comments, showing the importance of respect and boundaries, particularly in the public eye. While opinions may differ on the matter, one thing is certain – Usher and Alicia Keys’ gave the world a Super Bowl halftime show to remember.

After Michelle Joy Phelps, Ebanie Bridges has taken to social media, criticizing the recent decision from America’s national governing body for amateur/Olympic-style boxing. Not so long ago, news broke about USA Boxing allowing transgender athletes to compete against women. Although, trans athletes under the age of 18 would have to fight according to their birth gender.

The former Bantamweight champion has always been critical of the topic, having criticized the prospect of trans athletes competing against biological women before. However, after yesterday’s update from USA Boxing, Bridges went on a rant on X (formerly Twitter), calling for all women to come together to stop biological men from competing against women.

Ebanie Bridges doesn’t think trans athletes should compete against women in any sport
In her first tweet, the Aussie labeled the decision wrong on every level possible, arguing not to agree to the rule any time soon. She claimed it was bad enough to have trans athletes breaking records in various other sports. However, it’s even worse when trans boxers fight women in sports because the aim here is to hurt each other.

“It’s a bit different to them breaking our skulls in combat sports where the aim is to HURT YOU not just break a record,” wrote Bridges. She goes on to show her opposition to allowing trans athletes in any sport. “I think it’s wrong in ALL SPORT… I have nothing against trans, but can’t be skewing the line in sport….You don’t see reference or debates for transmen in sport…cos it’s not a threat…,” wrote Bridges.

In a later tweet, Bridges suggested she doesn’t care about being politically correct because allowing biological men to compete against women doesn’t sit well with her. “The girls need to stick together or women’s sport in 50 years will be filled with male-born champions,” she also added. In another tweet, the same day, she claimed to feel sorry for the first woman who had to fight a trans fighter.

However, Bridges wasn’t done! In another tweet, she brought up aspiring female boxers. “Imagine being a little girl with a dream to break records to train her whole life to then be beaten by a transwoman who’s been a man their whole life except the last two years. Little girls gonna be thinking what’s the point in a few years,” wrote Bridges.

As USA Boxing introduces new rules for transgender athletes, Bridges expressed her discontent with the idea of trans women fighting women. What did you think about the decision from USA Boxing? Do you think it’s fair for other female boxers?

Who inspires Claressa Shields, the two-time undisputed champion, the most? At the Super Bowl LVIII Radio Row, ahead of Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Fransisco 49ers, the champion revealed the woman who inspired her the most. It is none other than the artist with the most Grammy wins in history, Beyoncé. However, Shields regretted that she never had the chance to meet Beyoncé in person.

On that note, the 28-year-old dedicated a detailed message to the singer-songwriter. In addition, Shields eagerly hoped that Beyoncé would come across the former’s message. As a result, ‘T-Rex’ even encouraged her fans to carry her words to the legendary artist.

Claressa Shields looks up to Beyoncé
Several memorable incidents occurred at the Super Bowl LVIII Radio Row. While Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia engaged in an unprecedented brawl, Claressa Shields faced off against friend Mikaela Mayer, almost convincing fans that the two would fight. Anyway, as the fans still digested Claressa’s photo with Mayer who will most likely fight Natasha Jonas in a rematch, Shields paid Beyoncé a tribute with words. On being asked, who inspired the undisputed Middleweight champion the most, ‘T-Rex’ named Beyoncé.

“The woman who inspires Claressa Shields the most is Beyoncé. Have I told Beyoncé that? No,” said Shields. Having been encouraged by the interviewer, Shields then looked into the camera and sent Beyoncé a heartfelt message in the form of a letter:

“Dear, Beyoncé,
You are so great at what you do. I mean you’re great at dancing, singing, rapping. Just being a great human being. And you carry yourself like just the most unbothered woman in the world.”

“I want to be like you, one day. And you also make me have that bad b-word energy when I come to my fights. So, I have my outfits dedicated to you. And I come out dancing, right before I beat a girl up in boxing for you,” Shields added. “So, from Claressa ‘GWOAT’ Shields, I love you. You’re inspirational. Keep up the great work. And just know that you are Queen B,” the 28-year-old concluded.

Later, Shields even posted the brief clip on Instagram and tagged Beyoncé too. Hoping Beyoncé would listen to her message, Shields requested her fans to tag the singer-songwriter. Well, what do you think of the message Shields left for Beyoncé? Let us know in the comments below.

Joshua is hoping to get an undisputed world title shot with wins against Francis Ngannou and Filip Hrgovic but Eddie Hearn thinks it could come even sooner

Anthony Joshua is hoping wins against Francis Ngannou and Filip Hrgovic will set up an undisputed world title fight.

Joshua looks to pick up where he left off last year when he fights former UFC champion Ngannou on March 8 in Saudi Arabia. The fight was supposed to be taking place just a few weeks after Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s undisputed clash, but Fury suffered a cut in training and the fight has been pushed back to May 18.

The winner of Joshua vs Ngannou was promised a shot at the undisputed belts but that won’t take place until next year as Fury and Usyk have to fight twice. Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn thinks there is a chance that Joshua could jump the line for a fight against Fury if both Brits win their upcoming fights.

“The timing worked perfectly for AJ to stop Ngannou and for Fury to win. We appreciate there’s this fight and this rematch, but you know how things are going to go. Come on, you know how His Excellency moves. When the biggest fight in the history of the sport is in front of you to make I’m sure as hell find a way to keep everybody happy and make that fight but it’s irrelevant right now,” he told iFL TV.

“We need that fight to happen and now that fight is happening two months after our fight. So it sounds more likely that if AJ if triumphant will fight Filip Hrgovic for a world title, which is fine and then we’ll fight the winner of Fury vs Usyk. AJ is just like ‘Sign me up to everything, I’m going to beat everyone.’ Fury recently outlined his five-fight wishlist that included potential doubleheader against Joshua and Hearn admitted that he wants ‘The Gypsy King’ to stay in boxing for as long as possible. “I love to hear this. Boxing would be a worse or weaker place without Tyson Fury, keep him in the sport,” Hearn added.

“This is what I told you, he’s got the bit between his teeth. Good, I like seeing Tyson Fury like that. Good luck to him, he says two Usyk fights but I believe there’ll be one. I love it, music to my ears. Guess what, Hrgovic is going to knock Ngannou out and beat Hrgovic if that’s what he’s got to do. Then he’s going to knockout Tyson Fury.”

As the first American female boxer to win an Olympic gold medal and the first American boxer of any gender to win gold in consecutive Olympic Games, Claressa Shields is already inducted into boxing history. She is highly praised in boxing for her trash talk. A sport that emphasizes verbal abuse just as much as dominating the ring.

Not too long ago, we saw Alycia Baumgardner, the undisputed super featherweight world champion, call out Shields for a fight. Shields told Baumgardner that she would make easy work of her. ‘The GWOAT’ dropped another bomb on Baumgardner on X.

Claressa Shields mocks Alycia Baumgardner’s power
Shields in the tweet called out the fact that ‘The Bomb’ has a loss on her record. She said, “They got all that KNOCKOUT POWER but still got them losses though.” Baumgardner suffered one loss in her entire career in her first WBC International Super featherweight title defense, at the hands of Christina Linardatou. Shields also boasted about her undefeated record in the same tweet.

Shields mentioned how she has “no knockout power” and is still ranked No.1 in pound for pound. Shields is the current WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, WBF, and The Ring middleweight champion. In another reply, Shields agreed, recognizing the importance of a possible confrontation between the two. The feud between them has taken center stage in women’s boxing.

The Alycia Baumgardner-Claressa Shields feud
In the past, Claressa Shields had expressed respect for her fellow Olympic contender Alycia Baumgardner, refusing a fight at 147 pounds. However, Baumgardner has now called Shields out for a match. Shields initiated the conversation on social media, emphasizing that a true pound-for-pound fighter can excel in any weight class. She declared her willingness to face Baumgardner at 147, 154, 160, or 168 pounds.

The GWOAT expressed surprise as she had previously stated she wouldn’t fight Baumgardner or Mikaela Mayer. Baumgardner remains determined to face Shields. In reply, Shields, intrigued by the challenge, encouraged Baumgardner to prepare a fight plan as she considered taking her up on the offer.

There is a good possibility that we see the flag bearers of women’s boxing take each other on in an epic battle. The social media fight only creates more anticipation. What do you make of the ongoing battle online? We would love to hear your views.

A theft hardly captures much attention. But for some reason, this one did. It caught the eye of none other than the undisputed middleweight champion, Claressa Shields. She was left baffled by a heist, caught on camera, at an Apple Store in broad daylight. However, the detail that recorded itself in her film of memory was something else entirely.

Earlier today, reports emerged that an Apple store in Oakland was robbed in broad daylight. The thief yanked out iPhones kept on display without any qualms. The crime comes in the light of California Governor Gavin Newsom launching a fresh set of strategic attacks in curbing crime in the area. While visuals from the theft made their way to the web, many wondered how the man could do his deed without any interference from the cops. The same doubts persisted in the mind of the undisputed champ Claressa Shields.

Claressa Shields wonders where the cops are
The masked man went about pulling 49 iPhones off their security chord and shoving them into his pants, as a shocked crowd of Apple staff and customers stood watching. No one from the staff, including the security, attempted to intervene. It must be noted that Apple employees are generally instructed to not intervene when such shoplifting attempts are made, to avoid further confrontation. Generally, some outlets of Apple have designated security personnel who prevent such thefts from happening. However, some stores do not encompass such security staff, like in this case.

As the thief makes his way out of the store with a trouser full of stashed iPhones, a cop car can be seen parked right in front of the store, which the thief then nonchalantly crosses to get in his car and drive away.

On her X, formerly Twitter, ‘GWOAT’ reacted to the visuals from the theft that went down in the Apple store. What caught her attention was the lack of police personnel, even with a car parked right in front of the store. Responding to the snippets shared by Daily Loud, the 28-year-old fighter wrote, “Walked right past the cops…. Wow.”

Claressa Shields dropped by male boxer: 'GWOAT' responds to leaked video | Marca

While the thief had full access to the demo phones on display, he did not venture into the back room where sealed, packaged goods are stored. Access to this area is usually limited to only some Apple staff. It is also believed that most products kept on display are dummies and do not possess many of the features of an actual sealed iPhone that is up for sale. While the loss incurred in such robberies could be much less, the risk of life of staff and customers still persists.

This robbery is not a standalone but is a part of many other such incidents that have been on the rise in Oakland County. Claressa Shield’s response mirrors the reaction of many. Do you concur with her sentiments? Let us know in the comments section below.

UFC legend Rashad Evans has made an extremely bold prediction about Francis Ngannou ahead of his monstrous fight against Anthony Joshua.

Ngannou took Tyson Fury the distance in his boxing debut last year after leaving the UFC as the promotion’s heavyweight champion.

Boxing: Anthony Joshua Rises In Latest Heavyweight Rankings

He dropped the WBC title holder en route to losing a controversial decision on the judges’ scorecards.

Ngannou will get another crack at one of the other big players in the heavyweight division as he faces Joshua on March 8.

Joshua, who used to hold the world heavyweight titles before surrendering them to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021, is on a three-fight winning streak, having suffered back-to-back defeats to the undefeated Ukrainian star.

And he destroyed Otto Wallin on the ‘Day of Reckoning’ card in his last outing in a masterful performance as he seemed to roll back the years.

The Brit welcomes the ex-MMA star back to the ring, with former UFC light-heavyweight champion Evans backing Ngannou to become the world heavyweight champion in boxing.

“I mean, it’s hard for me to put anything past Francis, man. That performance and now he’s gonna be fighting Anthony Joshua,” he told Give Me Sport.

“I mean, I think he’s gonna do it. I made a prediction at the end of [2023] and I said: ‘I think that Francis Ngannou is gonna be a heavyweight boxing champ by the end of the year’.”

Even though the former UFC king didn’t beat Fury, he shocked the boxing world with his showing against arguably the best fighter in the division and garnered huge praise.

Just months after troubling the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’, he will look to get off the mark in the boxing ranks when he takes on Joshua next month.
