A win for Fury against Oleksnadr Usyk means he could fight Joshua for the undisputed belts if ‘AJ’ gets past Francis Ngannou and Tyson has already predicted who would win

If Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua do finally meet in the ring this year, Mike Tyson has backed ‘The Gypsy King’ to get the last laugh.

The domestic rivals are on a collision course to settle their feud if they both win their upcoming fights in Saudi Arabia. Fury will look to become the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since 1999 when he meets Oleksandr Usyk on February 17th whilst Joshua aims to extend his unbeaten streak to four fights against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou on March 8.

Tyson admitted that ‘AJ’ might be the biggest puncher in the heavyweight division but explained why his power could be useless against Fury. “I love Joshua, but I think Tyson’s too elusive, he’s not going to hit him. We’re keeping it honest right? I like Joshua a lot and Joshua maybe punches harder than [Deontay] Wilder, but he doesn’t punch faster than Wilder.

We’re keeping it honest right? I like Joshua a lot and Joshua maybe punches harder than [Deontay] Wilder, but he doesn’t punch faster than Wilder.

Tyson’s prediction came at a time when Fury and Joshua signed contracts for an undisputed fight, but an arbitration case meant Fury had to fight Wilder for the third time and Joshua went on to lose his world titles to Usyk. Joshua’s promoter Hearn is praying that Fury can get past Usyk next month to be one step closer to the undisputed domestic clash.

“The winner of this fight gets the winner of Fury vs Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight world championship. For Ngannou, he could become an undisputed champion in just his third fight,” Hearn told TNT Sports. “For us and AJ, we have dreamed about that for so many years. I said to him before the face-off, ‘Two wins and you are undisputed champion’.

“I believe he is going to do it, I really do. I believe he is going to beat Tyson Fury and I believe he is going to beat Tyson Fury. I love Oleksandr Usyk, but I will just say Tyson Fury you have to win this fight. Once he beats Ngannou, we have to make this fight happen. It’s so exciting for boxing we have a path and plan for brilliant fights.”

Francis Ngannou may call upon Mike Tyson to help him prepare for his blockbuster fight with Anthony Joshua – just like he did for his impressive professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury.

Ngannou nearly pulled off the biggest shock in boxing history when he suffered a narrow defeat to Fury, despite dropping the WBC heavyweight champion in the third round.

The MMA icon’s exhibition against Fury was originally seen as nothing more than a money-grab opportunity for both fighters in Saudi Arabia.

But Ngannou’s performance has made the heavyweight division stand up and take notice with the ex-UFC fighter now contracted to the Professional Fighters League.

Joshua, who is looking to rebuild his reputation and regain his heavyweight belts, has accepted terms to fight Ngannou next with the bout taking place in Saudi Arabia on March 8.

And Dewey Cooper, who helped coach Ngannou for his fight against Fury, has revealed the duo could call upon Tyson once again to help best prepare him for the Joshua bout.

He told talkSPORT: “Four years ago, Francis went on Mike Tyson’s podcast, and Francis was talking about fighting Tyson Fury and people like that way back then.

“He made an agreement with Mike Tyson that if he did a boxing fight Mike would have to work his corner because Mike Tyson was so influential in Francis wanting to take this journey.

“Mike had to be a part of it. He trained Francis when he could.

“He had a very busy schedule. He and I are good friends, so whenever he came in, he took over. It’s Mike Tyson!”

He added: “Whatever way Francis wants Mike Tyson to be involved he will be.

“I love Mike, we go back way before any of this Francis Ngannou–UFC stuff was happening anyway.

“So, I hope he will come through like he did last time and keep implementing his mentality and technique.

“I’m sure he will, but either way, [Ngannou] is going to be prepared and ready to go against Anthony Joshua.”

Some have been surprised at Joshua taking the fight given the risks involved as a loss to Ngannou will all but wreck any chances he has of regaining his heavyweight belts.

Speaking at Monday night’s press conference officially announcing the fight, the 34-year-old promised an “explosive” contest.

He said: “Every fight leads to somewhere, so this fight is my everything and we will see where it leads me.

“My main focus is Ngannou and getting through an intense training camp.

“I have got to take his mind and his spirit, it will be explosive. We can both trade and it will be a good fight.”

Crawford’s update is sure to leave Spence fans uneasy.

Terence Crawford might have just moved on from Errol Spence Jr.

Crawford shocked the world back in July 2023. It’s not the fact that he defeated Spence that had boxing fans surprised. What was rather stunning was how dominant “Bud” looked against “The Truth.” Spence could never get into second gear in the fight.

Terence Crawford Hints That Errol Spence Jr Rematch Is Off

A second-round knockdown would be a sign of bad things to come for Spence. There is no doubt that “The Truth” showed heart, but he was outmatched en route to a ninth-round TKO loss.

A rematch clause was put in place for the Crawford vs. Spence fight as long as both men agree to terms. It appears there is a standstill, which may have led to arguably the pound-for-pound best boxer today moving on from the rematch.

Here’s a message Terence Crawford sent on his X account:

“I done heard it all now @ErrolSpenceJr it’s ok tho because all in all I’m glad it’s over and done with. I wish you well ma brotha.”

Spence, who has dealt with eye issues, including a retinal detachment in his left eye, recently revealed in a deleted post on Instagram Stories that he underwent cataract surgery. Despite the eye problems, Spence has said he will not be retiring

Terence Crawford Ranks the Top 5 Fights He's Won

It’ll be interesting to see what Crawford does, and of course the health of Spence. If the former world welterweight champion is finally able to put his issues to bed, then he won’t be short on some key matchups.

As for Crawford, if he’s indeed done with Spence, then what would he do next? Does he stay put and look to silence the rise of Jaron “Boots” Ennis? Does he move up and look to take all the gold at junior middleweight? Does he go right after Canelo Alvarez?

These are all burning questions surrounding “Bud’s” future.

Anthony Joshua has been backed to have a close fight with Tyson Fury if they ever lock horns in the ring.

Simon Jordan believes the gap between the two Brits has decreased and says the pathway has opened for Joshua to become world champion again.

British boxing fans are desperate to see Joshua and Fury battle it out.

The bout has been mooted for several years but has so far not materialized, with the two fighters taking different paths.

Joshua suffered back-to-back defeats against Oleksandr Usyk to put a serious dent in his professional record.

The two-time former world champion has won three fights since last April as he begins to reestablish his name on the heavyweight scene.

Ahead of the March 8 bout against Francis Ngannou, Jordan believes there are still question marks over Joshua due to the level of opponent he has recently faced.

He said on the talkBOXING podcast: “Joshua dealt with Otto Wallin.

“But what we haven’t learned about this ‘Joshua 2.0’ is whether he can take a shot and come back from it in the way he had to against Wladimir Klitschko.

“That’s the overriding question.”

Spencer Oliver then asked Jordan if he thinks Joshua will win a world title again.

Jordan believes he will but isn’t convinced he would beat Fury.

He said: “Yes. I think the pathway’s been cleared for him.

“Does he win a world title against Tyson Fury? I’m not sure. I don’t think so.”

But Jordan was then pressed on whether a Joshua-Fury fight would be ‘closer’ than he originally thought.

He insisted it would, purely because of the level Fury showed the last time he stepped into the ring against Ngannou.

Jordan replied: “Only because of what we’ve seen from Fury in his recent fight.

“And we’ve seen people suggesting the reason why he’s meeting people in the middle of the ring is because he can’t move about anymore.

“The Fury we’ve seen against Dillian Whyte and Deontay Wilder – that Fury beats Joshua.

“The Fury we’ve got now may not do it, but I still think he does.”

Joshua lost his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles when he was beaten by Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September 2021.

Jordan believes the 34-year-old can become world champion again, even if he doesn’t face either Fury or Usyk, pinpointing Filip Hrgovic as a future target.

Hrgovic looks likely to fight for the IBF heavyweight title this year, which will be vacated due to the Fury-Usyk rematch clause.

Jordan added: “But I go on with your question of, ‘Do I think he [Joshua] wins a world title?’

“Does he win a world title against Oleksandr Usyk? I think Usyk does him again.

“Now, because a pathway’s been cleared, does he win a world title against Filip Hrgovic – who I think is a strong fighter but not a real risk for Joshua compared to what Fury and Usyk are – yes I now do because the landscape has changed…

“Hrgovic lost to Zhilei Zhang and got the result, and wasn’t particularly impressive against Demsey McKean.

“And in his most recent fight against Mark De Mori, well f*** off, it wasn’t a fight for him, was it?

“I think Hrgovic is a decent fighter, but there’s levels in this game and Joshua is on a different level to Hrgovic.”

Ryan Destiny, a perfect embodiment of destiny itself, assumes the role of Claressa Shields in Shields’ biopic ‘Flint Strong’ from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, set to hit the theaters in August 2024. However, this isn’t the first time a movie has been made based on Shields’ life. In fact, ‘Flint Strong’ follows Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper’s 2015 boxing documentary ‘T-Rex’. It is based on Shields’ journey to become the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing.

However, who exactly is Ryan Destiny? Destiny is an American actress and singer best known for her role in Fox’s ‘Star’. Flint Strong, aptly named after Shields’ hometown, will mark Destiny’s first movie with a major film studio. However, she did pop up here and there in movies like ‘Oracle,’ ‘A Girl Like Grace,’ and the TV series ‘Grow-ish.’ Not only that, there is more to the actress than meets the eye.

Ryan Destiny: age, height, net worth, parents, ethnicity
According to Net Worth Post, the 5.4” foot actress and songwriter has a net worth of a whopping $19 million as of 2024. Born on 8th January 1995 in Detroit, Michigan, USA, the now 29-year-old was born to parents Dawn Irons and Deron Irons. With roots in the city of Michigan, which has produced countless artists, she was destined for the creative arts. Adding the fact that her father Deron was part of the ‘90s R&B group Guess’, her future was all but sealed for show business. Her father is of African-American descent, but her mother is biracial, of European and African-American ancestry. What’s more, as a child, she was often involved in singing competitions or talent shows, which would later launch her into Hollywood stardom.

Ryan Destiny: Music and showbiz career
After messing around in plays and talent shows as a teenager, she quickly formed a trio. The R&B trio even made it to the third round of ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 2011. Even though it did not pan out the way she would have wanted, there were bigger things in store for her. Soon, she joined another trio with a fellow AGT contestant, forming ‘Love Doll House’ and signed with Russell Simon’s ‘All Def Records.’ The trio had a short lifespan, and Destiny soon made her move to the big screen.

Ryan Destiny: Acting career
She caught her first major break when she was cast as ‘Alexandra Crane’ in the hit television series ‘Star.’ The show followed three talented singers wishing to achieve stardom in the music industry. From there, she went on to feature in ‘Grown-ish,’ playing ‘Jillian’ for 11 episodes from 2020 to 2021. Later, in 2023, she appeared as the main character ‘Shay’ in the horror movie ‘Oracle.’

It follows the main character as she accepts a job on a property marred by a traumatic past, but she soon finds herself realizing her childhood nightmares are somehow connected to the house. She soon landed a major role in the upcoming project, Flint Strong, the screenplay for which is written by Barry Jenkins, the acclaimed director of such films as Moonlight (2016) and If Beale Street Could Talk (2018). The film is currently under production.

What is Ryan Destiny’s relationship status?
Ryan Destiny is in limbo when it comes to her relationship status! Back in 2015, Destiny and Keith Powers met at a Teen Vogue party and later confirmed their relationship in 2019. At that time, both parties had emphasized the importance of privacy while being in the public eye. Powers even expressed the challenges of a public relationship. On the other hand, Destiny was committed to her individuality.

Considered a prominent couple at the time, they even featured in various projects in 2019, including a Calvin Klein campaign and the music video for Big Sean’s ‘Single Again’, playing the role of a couple in the middle of a cheating scandal. However, in 2022, reports pointed toward their breakup after four years of dating. Despite their breakup, they have been spotted together on social media and in live media events.

Both Powers and Destiny appeared posing on the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere for Powers’ movie ‘The Perfect Find’. Later that week, the duo attended the American Black Film Festival, possibly hinting at a reconciliation of their romance. This, coupled with the ex-partners spending time together during the summer, has given fans hope for a rekindling of their relationship. Despite numerous fans calling them out for getting back together, neither has officially confirmed their relationship.

Ricky Hatton has raised a concern over Tyson Fury ahead of his mega undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

Hatton reckons Fury’s ‘lifestyle’ could mean he has ‘too many miles on the clock’ heading into the bout.

Fury and Usyk will finally step into the ring in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 17.

The pair have been trash-talking each other for a couple of years but the fight was finally signed last November.

They will put all their belts on the line in one of the most eagerly-anticipated matches in modern boxing history.

Hatton then hopes Fury will enter the ring with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua at some point in the future.

However, he has concerns that Fury’s past may eventually catch up with him.

The 35-year-old has not been shy in detailing his huge weight loss during his break away from the sport.

Fury has since returned and had 10 fights since 2018, including a trilogy against Deontay Wilder.

Fury was sluggish last time out against Francis Ngannou.

And Hatton is worried about possible long-term effects Fury could be suffering from.

He told OLBG: “You don’t get a bigger fight [than Fury v Joshua].

“It’s one of the biggest fights in British boxing history. It’s a great clash of styles.

“Tyson’s always in entertaining fights, so is AJ [Joshua], and it was only a couple of fights ago we thought [Joshua’s] best days were behind him but in his last couple of fights, he has looked really impressive.

Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou
Tyson Fury struggled in his last fight against Francis Ngannou

“But Tyson on the other hand has been the best heavyweight for a good number of years and I still have him as number one, but we just need to know what Tyson has got left.

“Don’t forget it’s not just the three Wilder fights, it’s the lifestyle he’s had as well where he’s had to lose ten stone in the past and what it does to the body and then having them three wars with Deontay Wilder.

“It might be too many miles on the clock for Tyson or maybe he took him lightly because he didn’t look in the best shape.”

Many felt MMA fighter Ngannou deserved the judges’ decision against Fury in his first professional boxing fight last October.

Ngannou will face Joshua in Saudi Arabia in March.

But he has firmly his eyes set on a rematch with Fury by October this year.

Ngannou told MMA Fighting: “I win this fight [against Joshua] and I’m fighting Fury period.

“Whether or not he has the belt. Our rematch term was within next year, so it’s going to be October this year.

“I just want to be free and fight, the thing is with the title is this is a system I don’t want to fall into anymore.

“You have to make a concession with an organization, I don’t want that political stuff.”

Ngannou said in a separate interview with TMZ Sports: “I’m not looking for the winner of Tyson Fury (and Usyk). I’m looking for Tyson.

“Tyson owes me a fight. I don’t give a s**t about the winner of Usyk and Tyson. I’m coming after Tyson. Win or lose, I want Tyson.”

Boxing legend Mike Tyson has revealed what happened during the one occasion he fought someone while in prison.

Tyson, who became the youngest heavyweight champion of the world at the age of just 20, was sentenced to six years in prison and four years on probation for rape in 1992, although served just three years.

Reflecting on his time in prison while speaking on the The Pivot podcast, Tyson said: “I’m just very grateful – I’m a cool guy, I’m a good person, I treated everybody nice.

“I had the best three years of my life in prison.”

After his release, Tyson engaged in several comeback fights where he would go on to regain the WBA and WBC titles in 1996.

Tyson, also known as ‘Iron Mike’, would then retire in 2005 and has since swapped the boxing ring for the cannabis industry, as well as podcasting.

A career change which has led to him opening up on his time behind bars, as he recalls the only incident where he fought someone while incarcerated.

“I treated anybody the way I wanted them to treat me. And that’s just how it was. They weren’t scared of me. It all came down to respect,” he said on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson

“Just one time [I had to punch someone]. Somebody said something and I just went over there and hit him.

“We were locked down for a long time and it was just something that was irritable and I went over there and hit him. We were locked down and couldn’t go to the gym

“Somebody got stabbed or something and we were locked down. I was just upset and miserable.”

Tyson recently returned to the ring back in 2020, after taking on Roy Jones Jr. in an eight round exhibition fight which controversially ended in a draw.

Wilder ruined his chances of fighting Joshua by losing to Joseph Parker last month but he thinks the mega-fight can be rescued with one win against a big name

Deontay Wilder wants to fight on the Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou card to try and rescue his mega-fight with the Brit.

Deontay Wilder's manager confirms plans for stunning fight on Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou undercard | The Sun

Wilder’s two-fight deal with ‘AJ’ went down the drain last month after he lost to Joseph Parker just moments before Joshua knocked out Otto Wallin. Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has since taken Wilder’s place in the heavyweight equation as he will fight Joshua on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.

Zhilei Zhang has been touted as a potential opponent for Wilder but the fight is far from official. Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel thinks the American can redeem himself after his poor performance with one win against a big name. “ If there was an opportunity, we’d be glad to consider it. We’d love to go back there and love to be on that card if it’s possible,” he told The Sun.

“You can’t tell in advance, but I’d assume that Joshua would beat Ngannou. Then hopefully, we’ll see the Deontay of old and he wins. Of course, if those two were to happen, it would still be natural for Deontay and Joshua to meet.” Finkel used Daniel Dubois as an example of a fighter bouncing back to winning ways as he stopped Jarrell Miller following his world title loss to Oleksandr Usyk.

“Go back two fights. People were saying Daniel Dubois was a quitter. He sure didn’t quit against Jarrell Miller and redeemed himself. Three fights ago, people said things about Joshua. He looked very good in his fight with Wallin and that redeemed himself in the same way. In a similar situation, Deontay has a good opponent in the next fight and he looks the way we know him to look,” Finkel added.

“We would love Parker but that hasn’t been discussed. In either case, if Zhang was presented, that would be a big fight. If that was on the same card as the fight with Joshua and Ngannou, I think Deontay and Zhang would rival that. It would be a phenomenal show for the public again. I think the job that they did putting on all the heavyweights together on that card was wonderful.”

Wilder isn’t in Joshua’s plans for now as the Brit wants to beat Ngannou and challenge either Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight world titles. Ngannou is also targeting a rematch against Fury after controversially losing to the Brit in their crossover fight last October.

Sometimes, the best way to shake off a loss is by treating yourself to the luxuries of life. Ebanie Bridges might have had the same idea as she bought herself a brand spanking new Porsche 911 Carrera 992 for Christmas. The car is valued at approximately $170,000 but after a surprising loss against Miyo Yoshida, the price tag didn’t bother the Aussie.

Not so long ago, Bridges went toe-to-toe with Miyo Yoshida in the undercard of Devin Haney vs. Regis Prograis on 9 December at Chase Centre Arena. However, she failed to win the fight as Yoshida was crowned the victor via unanimous decision. So, when Bridges shared pictures of her new car on X (formerly Twitter), fans were surprised, to say the least.

Fans claim Ebanie Bridges deserves it!
Alongside the pictures, Bridges wrote in the caption, “Thought I’d treat myself to an early Christmas present… I saw this Porsche 911 Carrera 992 in The Essex Car Group showroom and thought ‘that’s a bit of me.’ Beautiful rainy British day to really make it pop for the pics.” Since the tweet went live on the platform, it has collected nearly 500K views, more than 3.5 K hearts and a plethora of comments. Despite her recent loss, most people congratulated the boxer.

One user congratulated Bridges while asking her to enjoy her new car.

Someone else suggested she bought the car from her OnlyFans earnings.

Another user wished Bridges Merry Christmas while congratulating her on the new car.

The next user commended Bridges for her choice of car.

One user claimed Bridges deserves the new car and encouraged the purchase.

With the new car out of the way, here is what Bridges said to Yoshida after the fight.

Bridges asks Yoshida to enjoy the win
The loss for Ebanie Bridges came as a surprise to everyone, especially after her win over Shannon O’Connell in December 2022 via technical knockout. However, Bridges seems to be taking the loss on the chin as she penned a sweet message to Yoshida after the fight.

After the fight concluded on 9 December, Yoshida turned to X, thanking Bridges for the fight. So, the Leeds resident wrote back, claiming it was a pleasure to fight Yoshida. “Thank you for the beautiful words. A humble champion. It was my pleasure to share the ring with you. God bless you. Enjoy your victory,” wrote Bridges.

Even though Ebanie Bridges suffered a surprising loss at the hands of Yoshida, the Aussie’s recent purchase of a new car took the boxing world by surprise. However, the bigger question is – did you like her new car? Did you watch the Bridges vs. Yoshida fight?

It is not plausible to have pound-for-pound rankings for female boxing and not have Claressa Shields tower over her counterparts. Despite being polarizing, she is widely regarded as the ‘GWOAT.’ And rightfully so! She is an undefeated, multi-weight champion, and has hardly looked vulnerable against any opponent in the professional ring. It was inevitable for her to mark her presence on the list.

Moreover, in a recent turn of events, the undefeated boxer has been ranked number 1, above all other great female boxers. Witnessing this, she could not help herself but make her reactions evident.

Claressa Shields delighted to be the best!
Shields has an active social media presence and does not shy away from making her opinions known to her 142.5k followers on X. Not to mention, she is quite aware of her accolades and vocalizes them to her advantage. Last year, she only fought once, and that was against Maricela Cornejo. However, her victory was quite impressive as she fetched herself a unanimous decision after a dominating contest.

That one fight was sufficient for her to be number one yet again on the pound-for-pound list. And who does she credit this to? Her skills and solely that. In a recent X., tweet, she stated, “Skills baby, skills.”

It is safe to say that Sheilds is quite proud of this achievement. However, it equally bears a mention that there might be an underlying dig by crediting her success to her “Skills.” And the dig might be against her arch nemesis, Alycia Baumgardner.

Shields throws shade at Baumgardner?
Recently, Baumgardner was featured on NBA’s Star, Shaquille O’Neal’s Podcast. In her podcast, she confessed that she is contemplating a fight against Sheilds so long as it takes place at 147. Moreover, she claimed that she would be the victor in their potential bout because she has a superior skill set and acumen. Reflecting on the same, she stated, “I can move up to 147 and fight Claressa. Size does not matter to me, skills do. She added, “I know that my skills are way superior to hers.”

Sheilds credited her “Skills,” just hours after her assertion above. Was this a shade at the super-featherweight champion, or just a mere coincidence? Share with us your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
