Gervonta Davis’ punching power was proved once again when he took on the punch machine challenge.

The hard-hitting 5ft 5ins unbeaten American boxing star has a stunning record of 29-0 (27 KOs) – which gives him a 93 per cent knockout ratio.

Davis is a renowned power puncher

His next fight looks set to be against Frank Martin on June 15, and fans will be expecting another KO.

And it’s easy to see why when you look back to Tank’s history of proving his power.

Prior to Deontay Wilder vs Dominic Breazeale in 2019, both heavyweights made separate appearances on the Inside PBC Boxing show to give interviews and test their strength on the punch machine.

Coincidentally, a young Davis was on the same program as Breazeale and so also had a go at the challenge.

Wilder sent a rhyming video message to the pair before the show began and challenged them both to beat his high score of 927, that he previously set with his weaker left hand.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Gervonta Davis and Dominic Breazeale,” Wilder said, “Welcome fellas to a place where we will test your will.

“The bag that is placed before you will test your power and your skill.

“When I did it, I calculated a whopping 927.

“And that was only with my left hand, so imagine if I touch either of your chins, you’re bound to go to heaven.

“That’s enough about me, it’s all about you today. So step up to the plate and test your fate. Let the world see if you’ve got what it takes.”

Davis stepped up first and smashed the punch machine with his southpaw left hand.

He scored an incredible 939 and then realized he’d surpassed Wilder: “I beat him!”

Next came Breazeale who was only able to register a score of 889, despite holding a huge size advantage over Tank.

Tank’s record even surpassed that of Anthony Joshua, though the Brit’s score admittedly did come on a different machine.

Joshua took the punch machine challenge during an appearance on the Graham Norton show in 2017.

He let his fellow guests – actors Rachel Weisz, Martin Freeman and Greg Davies – go first.

They scored 182, 594 and 632 respectively before AJ turned up and smashed it with his right hand.

He scored 848 – breaking the machine’s existing record of 787.

The undefeated boxing champion shared a moment with his daughter and inside one of Iceland’s famous thermal lakes

We are all familiar with Floyd Mayweather Jr’s lavish lifestyle and how he spends his millions for the world to see. There have been times in which he makes million-dollar bets on other sporting events and cashes out on them without a problem. Other times have been for the strip clubs, which Floyd Mayweather is a massive fan of. But the boxing legend decided to involve his family on the latest display of wealth, specifically his daughter who accompanied him on a trip to Iceland. In one of his stories, Floyd specified how his daughter Jirah Mayweather is well-accustomed to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars thanks to his teachings.

In a different post, Floyd also showed the incredible setting within the luxurious resort in which he and his family stayed for this trip. A four-video post was more than enough for the world to see how beautiful this spot is and Floyd enjoying the thermal lake. Famous for it’s volcano activity, Iceland is also the most important spot in the world for hot springs. There are multiple resorts across the country where people visit this place to take a hot bath alongside their loved ones. Floyd didn’t want to miss the opportunity to spend some time here with his family and share a post with the following caption: “The Iceman in Iceland.”

Is Floyd Mayweather fighting again soon?
Although he is now retired from professional boxing, Floyd Mayweather has remained active in the celebrity boxing circuit. He has fought the likes of Logan Paul and other less known rivals. Folks still pay good money to watch the undefeated champion fight just about anybody. As far as his next opponent, he recently confirmed he wants to run it back with John Gotti after the chaotic manner in which the fight ended. However, Manny Pacquiao recently got in the way of that to tease a potential fight against ‘Money’. Who would you like to see Mayweather fight next?

The stars came out for Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou.

Joshua was congratulated by Mourinho and R9 at ringside after his stunning KO

The former heavyweight champion scored two early knockdowns before shutting off his adversary’s lights with a booming right hand at the Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudia Arabia on Friday night.

Jose Mourinho and the Brazilian Ronaldo were at ringside to witness the stunning stoppage – and both made their way up to the apron to congratulate the Brit.

While his training team began to unlace his gloves Joshua saw the football legends edging closer towards him and leaned over the ropes to acknowledge the pair.

“My guy, my guy,” said Joshua as he shook Mourinho’s hand.

“You’re incredible,” gushed the Portuguese manager.

Mourinho and Ronaldo weren’t the only big-name celebrities to turn out in Saudi Arabia.

Cristiano Ronaldo, was as always, in the front row while boxing icons Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, David Haye and Kell Brook were all in attendance as well.

Ngannou’s former dance partner Tyson Fury, who struggled immensely against the Cameroonian cage fighter last October, was also front and centre for the clash.

Joshua stopped Ngannou in the second round of their crossover clash

Speaking on the DAZN broadcast in the immediate aftermath of AJ-Ngannou, he said: “I’m sure Oleksandr Usyk will have something to say something about that. I had a s*** performance against Ngannou.

“AJ did absolutely fantastic and lit him up with a right hand, if he fights me after I beat Usyk twice then it will be a different game.

“There is quite a long way to go, fantastic performance from AJ but I have bigger fish to fry.

“If we are both still available after my two fights with Usyk, let’s get it on.

“He has to keep active and maybe he can fight Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF belt.”

Anthony Joshua has expressed his desire to fight Tyson Fury next, having knocked out Francis Ngannou in devastating fashion on Friday.

Ex-UFC champion Ngannou made his boxing debut in October, dropping Fury in a shocking moment before losing a controversial decision. The Cameroonian did not come close to replicating that performance against Joshua, however, suffering a brutal second-round loss.

Briton Joshua, 34, dropped Ngannou, 37, in round one and did the same twice in round two. The final knockdown proved decisive, with Ngannou out cold on the canvas in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Joshua then seemed to make a gun gesture at his preferred next target, Fury, who was sat in the front row at the Kingdom Arena.

Speaking in the ring after the win, “AJ” said: “If that was me [losing], you’d be saying, ‘Joshua should retire.’ I don’t know if I’m in my peak. I’m pushing day by day, who knows where it will take me? In five years, I won’t be fighting no more, this will be a distant memory

Tyson Fury provides update on Anthony Joshua fight
“There’s quite a long way to go, there’s always been a lot of shit getting in the way of it. I’ve got bigger fish to fry, 18 May, then we have a rematch in October. After that, if he’s still available and I’m available, let’s get it on.

“yes, it goes both ways, he can do what he wants, whoever he fights, he can’t wait a year, inactivity is no good.

“After I beat Usyk, the IBF will be vacant, so maybe he can fight Hrgovic.

“I’m healing well, I’m not even in camp yet, I’ll go to camp at the end of March and I’ll spar then.”

Well, that was quite the spectacle and worth the wait.

Both boxers, and fans around the world, were kept waiting by the undercard bouts.

How it was worth every second of the time spent in anticipation.

That final right-hand punch from Anthony Joshua will be talked about and replayed for years.

It was as destructive and powerful a punch as you could imagine.

The damage had been done by the previous two blows and Francis Ngannou had no energy left to respond to the build-up to the knockout blow as Joshua lined up his man.

We hope you enjoyed our build-up – not quite to the level of Joshua’s – and the coverage of the fight itself.

It was a blockbuster performance from the man who would be king of the heavyweight division.

A huge fight awaits Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Uysk, which will set up the most mouthwatering of fights after Joshua’s display in Riyadh.

Saturday and Sunday are packed with T20 international cricket and Premier League football, so please tune in if you can.

FLINT, Mich.— She did it again!

Claressa Shields talks during a press conference for her fight against Hanna Gabriels of Costa Rica on April 18, 2023 in Detroit, Michigan. Shields and Gabriels attended to promote their June 3, 2023 fight at Little Caesars Arena.

Last weekend she won her 3rd MMA fight in Saudia Arabia.

The GWOAT will be celebrating her victory tonight at Poprox located on 2nd Street in Flint from 9p.m. to 2 a.m..

Shields will be available for photos and autographs at the celebration.

Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou have both put their thunderous power to the test for fun in recent years.

When a boxer appears on mainstream TV to measure their strength, they are usually not allowed to leave until they have used the famous ‘punch machine challenge’, especially when they’re a heavyweight champion.

AJ did not disappoint during an appearance on the Graham Norton show in 2017.

As soon as he saw the machine, he took his suit jacket off and strolled over to have a turn.

He graciously let fellow guests – actors Rachel Weisz, Martin Freeman and Greg Davies – go first.

They scored 182, 594 and 632 respectively before Joshua turned up and smashed it with his right hand.

He scored 848 – breaking the existing record of 787.

Ngannou took his turn on Gym Shark’s punch machine in London while carrying out his pre-fight media duties for the AJ clash.

This was on a separate machine and so their results are not directly comparable.

However, Ngannou barely threw his weight behind the shot and yet when he connected he effortlessly hit a maximum score of 999.

Ngannou uploaded a video to social media of his earth-shattering punch with the caption: “Who can beat my score?”

Back in 2018, Ngannou broke the world record for the hardest punch ever recorded at 129,161 units on a PowerKube, which measures the power of a punch by recording its force, accuracy and speed.

“Francis Ngannou has the world record for the most powerful punch, his punch is the equivalent to 96 horsepower which is equal to getting hit by a Ford Escort going as fast as it can,” UFC president Dana White said at the time.

“And it’s more powerful than a 12-pound sledgehammer swung full force from overhead. Holy sh*t!”

However, his record has since been broken by UFC middleweight Joe Pyfer, who landed a thudding shot that registered at 170,218 units – 31.7 per cent harder than Ngannou’s.

The true comparison of Joshua and Ngannou will of course ultimately come on March 8, when they meet in the boxing ring.

Meanwhile, the record on the punch machine at talkSPORT Towers was recently broken by an up-and-coming cruiserweight star.

Aloys Junior, Britain’s answer to Mike Tyson, demonstrated his raw power on a visit to our studios.

Junior hit a stunning score of 982 on the hanging bag to jump to pole position on our leaderboard ahead of heavy-handed heavyweight Johnny Fisher.

Ahead of the bout scheduled for April 20th, at the press conference in New York, Ryan Garcia made a spectacle, bantering with Devin Haney. Besides boldly expressing that he desired to stop the WBC Super-Lightweight champion with only his “right hand“, ‘KingRy’ promised to retire professionally given he was knocked out by ‘The Dream’ in the very first round of their fight. But, the boxing world raised an eyebrow when Haney alleged that Garcia arrived drunk at their press conference.

Infuriated by Devin’s allegation, Garcia claimed he would “drink beer” and still “beat the f**k out of” Haney. Soon, the situation was aggravated when Garcia later smoked w**d live on social media, claiming he was “high as f**k“. At this, while the boxing community questioned Garcia’s integrity, Claressa Shields, the undisputed Middleweight champion, reacted to Garcia’s antics.

Claressa Shields finds Ryan Garcia’s trash talk superfluous
At the New York press conference, Devin Haney claimed Garcia lacked the IQ, skills, and heart required to face ‘The Dream’. In addition to that, Haney referred to Garcia’s fight with Gervonta Davis. In the 7th round of their fight, Davis hit Garcia with a powerful body shot which led ‘KingRy’ to quit. Therefore, Haney said, “We’ve seen you take a knee, and it won’t be no different. When it gets hot, you quit.” However, Garcia claimed he would beat Haney up intoxicated.

At this, reacting to Garcia’s comments, Claressa Shields wrote, “Y’all i can’t breathe! Ryan said he drink & smoke weed!!!! this is the craziest press conference I’ve ever seen!” Anyway, even though Shields found Garcia’s banter with Haney entertaining, she thought Garcia was being over the top. Likewise, in a follow-up, Shields said, “I think the trash talk is too much for Ryan Garcia.”

In this context, it is worth mentioning that Shields is not the only person who feels Garcia crossed a line. In his latest interview with Fight Hub TV, even Caleb Plant implied that ‘KingRy’ was being carried away by his emotion. However, Garcia is scarcely bothered by Plant or Shields’ comments. As a result, the 25-year-old rode a horse to the LA press conference today to startle his fans more. Anyway, what do you make of Claressa’s reaction to Garcia’s trash talk? Do you find Garcia’s statements over the top too? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
