Claressa Shields has never shied away from revealing her unapologetic takes on social media. In yesterday’s case, her followers got to witness something similar! The two-division undisputed queen hopped on social media to shed light on something extremely deplorable that was captured on camera. What’s that?

Possible child abuse! The incident in question happened during Thursday’s coverage of the World Snooker Championship. While seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry was speaking in a play break, the alleged child predator was caught in the act in the background. Seeing this shameful incident unfold, Claressa Shields asked for jail time for the perpetrator.

Claressa Shields urges people to “save that kid”
Taking to X, the middleweight champion reposted a clip from an individual with the social media handle ‘Paz49’. They had captioned their X post with “What the f**k did I just see?!” What did he see? The video captures an adult male positioned next to an underage boy within the crowd in the background, while the interview unfolds in the foreground.

In the clip, the unknown man whispers something in the kid’s ear before nibbling on it. After discovering the live camera, the man starts smiling at it in a bid to wave it off as a harmless joke. So, responding to the clip in question, Shields quickly wrote, “Man he need to put in jail, somebody save that kid!!”

It’s currently unclear who the man is. However, the authorities have jumped into action to investigate the skin-crawling incident. Here’s what the cops said!

Cops say they are reviewing the footage
According to a report from The Sun, the South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that they have been contacted about the footage and they are currently “reviewing the content.” In a statement recently, the authorities shed more light on the situation.

“Yesterday, Thursday 25 April at 9.20pm, we received a call to inform us of a video circulating on social media of a man and a boy at the Crucible in Sheffield,” their statement read. They further added, “We are aware of the footage and officers will be reviewing the content.” The relationship between the man and the kid is currently unknown, but the sentiment on social media demands quick results from the authorities for the boy’s safety.

With the unsettling clip circulating on the internet, Claressa Shields has used her platform to demand justice for the young boy. However, the investigation is ongoing and only time will tell whether the accused gets arrested and jailed. What are your thoughts on the clip?

Claressa Shields tried to look past her long ongoing feud with Alycia Baumgardner during her time of personal loss and mourning. This is a big move, especially after she released a diss track titled “Yeah Glo!” directed at Baumgardner only a couple of weeks ago. So, Shields decided to be a better person and offered her condolences on the tragic passing of Baumgardner’s father, Mario Guzman.

Alycia Baumgardner broke the disheartening news on her social media and even thanked her fans for all the support she received during the difficult time. So, does this mean Shields has extended a hand of friendship? Maybe, maybe not. But it definitely shows that boxing rivalries don’t get too personal for the undisputed champion. No matter what the beef is, respecting one’s parents especially when they are no longer around, should be the norm. So, how did Shields try to console her rival?

Claressa Shields offers condolences
Much recently, Claressa Shields posted on X where she commended her past rival, Savannah Marshall, for making her MMA debut in the coming month of June. After this, a fan commented on her post and wrote, “You been complaining about how fighters aren’t together anymore and against each other. @alyciambaum Dad just died this is an ideal time to make amends. If you not willing to put ya pride to the side stop crying about everybody else.”

Well, this request caught the eyes of the champion, and she didn’t want to disappoint her followers. At the same time, Shields showcased her heart and how she prioritizes keeping her private and professional life separate. Thus, she posted on X, “RIP to her father.” This statement was followed by a folded hands emoji.

Shields kept her rivalry aside this time and came together in a time of sorrow despite their previous hatred of one another. This at least can bring Alycia Baumgardner some solace that even her rival paid her father the respect he deserved.

Baumgardner struggles with her father’s passing
The undisputed super featherweight champion took to social media yesterday to share the news of her father’s tragic passing. In a heartfelt tweet, Alycia Baumgardner wrote, “A piece of me broke today. My life has forever changed. Thank you for everything you instilled. Love you forever Dad.“

A follow-up tweet offered a glimpse of Baumgardner’s determination in the face of grief. “Not my dad dying like he had somewhere to go,” she wrote. “Happy he’s not suffering tho…gonna be hurt for some time. But he wouldn’t want any less of the work I been putting in to beat anyone in my way! Watch this breakthrough!“

Alycia Baumgardner’s tweets paint a picture of a boxer grappling with immense personal loss while clinging to her passion for the sport. Her father’s influence is evident, and it seems she’s determined to honor his memory by continuing her climb in the b

Her recent triumph over Savannah Marshall in the U.K. marked a significant milestone. With a strategic unanimous decision victory, she avenged her only amateur loss. This match, celebrated as the most-viewed women’s professional boxing event ever, attracted over 2 million viewers.

Continued Success In Michigan
In June 2023, Shields returned to Michigan, where she defended her titles against Maricela Cornejo at the Little Caesars Arena. Despite the last-minute opponent change, Shields dominated the match, leading to a comprehensive victory. Her performance solidified her status in boxing and showcased her ability to engage and captivate the local audience.

Not that you can’t be a matador, you need guts to stand in front of a raging bull. You need to subdue your fear and be ready to face the consequences. To be lifted by a bull’s horn and sustain life-threatening injuries is a real possibility, and it almost came true for a woman. While she was saved by grace, her viral clip has left Claressa Shields laughing.

In a viral video, fans can witness a bull causing a ruckus and people taking it into a corner to avoid the bull. However, a woman was not lucky enough to run into the safety bars to save herself in time. She faced the brunt of the rampaging bull just outside the safety area. While the bull lifted her and was about to stamp her on the soil, she dropped to the ground, and someone dragged her inside the safety bars. This close call saved her, and thousands watched the viral clip. ‘GWOAT’ was one of them.

Shields, 29, turned to her X handle and replied to the video posted by ‘Wild Content’. She wrote, “Hahahhhah man she was gone !!”

Notably, the American boxer is making waves on the internet and has been an active user on X. She gives her unfiltered take on every minute development of the boxing world. Shields took the world by storm as she recently dropped a diss track targeting her long-time rival, Alycia Baumgardner. Instead of a boxing ring, hip-hop became the battleground.

In her humorous take, Shields made a parody of GloRilla’s hit song, ‘Yeah Glo!’ and gave the title a spin, naming it ‘Yeah GWOAT’. The undisputed champion flaunted her gold straps lying on a Maybach, boasted of her accomplishments, and slammed Baumgardner, at 15-1. The diss track followed their high-voltage encounter in Las Vegas, where Shields supposedly slapped Baumgardner’s hand. Their rivalry has been brewing for some time now. But is a fight between the two possible? The 14-0 record holder’s promoter, Dmitry Salita, lifted the veil.

‘GWOAT’ and the never-happening fight with Alycia Baumgardner
Shields, an Olympic gold medalist, and an undisputed champion, competes at middleweight. Meanwhile, Baumgardner reigns over the junior lightweight division. That effectively puts a 30-pound difference in their weight category, a gap that is hard to bridge.

Salita told Boxing Scene that the situation was similar to Manny Pacquiao pursuing a fight with Mike Tyson. He said, “It is so ridiculous. It is not real. And people that don’t really know boxing or follow women’s boxing, they just see names. They don’t understand weight classes, [but] they think about it and talk about it.” Salita has played down the scenario as “all talk.”

The simmering rivalry between Claressa Shields and Alycia Baumgardner exploded once more this weekend. Shields was working as a commentator for the Richardson Hitchins vs. Gustavo Lemos fight when she bumped into her nemesis, Baumgardner. This wasn’t a friendly encounter. According to reports, Shields temporarily left her post to confront Baumgardner, resulting in a fiery exchange of words.

The tension was palpable, and even after Shields returned to her commentary duties, the bad blood lingered. This ongoing feud has become a familiar dance for boxing fans. Social media spats and in-person confrontations have become the norm. But the biggest obstacle to settling this rivalry in the ring remains: weight class. Moreover, Claressa Shields exposes Alycia regarding her substance abuse.

Claressa Shields believes Baumgardner would take steroids again
Following a tense faceoff at the recent Hitchins-Lemos event, Shields unloaded on her rival in a fiery interview. The Michigan born boxer addressed Baumgardner’s past accusations of performance-enhancing drug use with clear anger. “Whatever, she’s a dr*g cheat,” Shields stated. “I don’t give a f***,” she continued, referencing Baumgardner’s suspension for a failed drug test. Baumgardner has since maintained her innocence.

The interview also highlighted the fighters’ significant weight difference. Baumgardner reigns as the 130-pound champion, while Shields sits comfortably at 160 pounds. “She can walk around on weight,” Shields said, implying that Baumgardner’s past positive test may have aided her weight management. Shields further fanned the flames by addressing comments Baumgardner made about her appearance.

“Look, Alicia, I don’t know where the f*** you got that I was ugly from,” Shields fired back in a surprising turn. She vehemently denied any insecurity about her looks, stating, “God not to find a cute. No, God not to find a cute and he don’t care about ugly. So it’s like, therefore looks don’t matter.” Not only this, Shields, in another tweet also mentioned how she actually tried to reach out to Baumgardner’s team but didn’t receive any response.

Shields roped in for clout?
Claressa Shields has fired back at suggestions that her rivalry with Alycia Baumgardner is a publicity stunt. The comments come after a heated faceoff between the two champions at the recent Hitchins-Lemos event. Shields took to Twitter to address the situation, specifically referencing her manager, Dmitry Salita.

Her tweet reads: “Her team didn’t even want to entertain the conversation! Ask @Dsalita! First call I made after I won my MMA fight, ‘set the fight between me & Alycia now’ he called her team and everyone was super against it!!!!! Said Alycia was just talking ‘clout.’” Shields’ tweet suggests her team was initially hesitant about pursuing a fight with Baumgardner.

She claims that she actively pushed for the matchup following her MMA victory, and that Baumgardner’s team ultimately rejected the proposition. What are your thoughts about this matchup? Tell us in the comments section.

Wrestling companies are always looking for athletes from other sports to come into the business. Jake Paul and more could debut in 2024.

There has always been a crossover between the worlds of professional wrestling and athletes. The appeal for the WWE in these athletes is a gateway to more mainstream attention from more popular leagues like the NFL and the NBA. While many may dismiss professional athletes’ involvement in professional wrestling events as nothing more than paid promotional work, many top athletes seem to be genuine fans of professional wrestling in general or WWE specifically and are seemingly enamored by the product.

However, it is one thing for a professional athlete to love wrestling, it’s an entirely different thing for said athlete to lace up their boots and step into the ring. However, that hasn’t stopped some athletes from trying to cross over into professional wrestling. Here are some we could see crossing over.

Claressa Shields Could Be A Future WWE Champion
Claressa Shields – Boxer

Claressa Shields 3

Claressa Shields is a decorated boxing champion, winning Olympic Gold Medals in her weight class at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. In 2016, Shield turned pro and has consolidated multiple Middleweight Championships, including the WBA, IBF, WBO, WBF, and the Ring titles. In 2021, Shields also tried her hand at MMA making two appearances for the Professional Fighting League winning her debut fight by TKO but losing the second one by a split decision.

Shields has commented about the possibility of having a WWE match in 2023 stating that she would love to step into a WWE ring and has stated that she feels like could take on the whole division. This certainly fits with the brash and confident personality that she has backed up in the boxing ring.

Colby Covington Is A Natural Heel

Several UFC fighters would naturally be able to transition into careers in professional wrestling and Covington is seemingly no exception. The controversial UFC star has made several political statements, openly supporting Donald Trump, and even visited the Trump White House after becoming the interim UFC Welterweight Champion after defeating Rafael Dos Anjos. Covington’s political views are just the tip of the controversial antics of the former Champion, having previously called the country of Brazil, a dump, and insulted Leon Edward’s deceased father during a pre-fight press conference.

In 2020, Covington caused a stir by stating that he may cross to professional wrestling and “make wrestling real again”. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre responded to the statement, which resulted in Covington threatening to take McIntyre’s soul out of his body. Given that Covington has now lost three of his last 5 fights, breaking his foot in his most recent fight, he may be more seriously considered a run in the WWE. The fact that UFC and WWE are under one roof of the company TKO means a crossover is more likely than ever.

Logan’s brother, Jake Paul has also made appearances in the WWE, during Logan’s Undisputed Championship challenge against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.

Instead of following his brother into WWE, Jake has continued working as a boxer and also signed a long-term deal with MMA promotion Professional Fighters League in 2023. Given his brother’s deal with the WWE, it would be surprising to see Jake also make his in-ring debut with WWE.

It is clear for everyone to see that Conor McGregor is coming to the end of his career as an MMA fighter after suffering a brutal loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov and back-to-back losses to Dustin Poirier, breaking his leg in their second fight. During his recovery from injury, the UFC announced that McGregor would be a coach in the 31st installment of the Ultimate Fighter Series, facing off against Michael Chandler.

Given that McGregor has already retired from UFC in the past, and has a history of high-profile clashes with professional wrestlers, there is no reason why McGregor couldn’t trade the Octagon for the squared circle. Savannah Marshall has followed her rival Claressa Shields to the PFL where she will now compete in MMA in a bout that now looks certain to be made

Claressa Shields’ biggest rival has followed her to mixed martial arts after signing with the PFL. Savannah Marshall has been announced as the latest boxer to move over to MMA, with her debut already set in the PFL – where she could eventually be reunited with Shields in a fitting end to their 10-year rivalry.

Shields and Marshall had been seen as the two best prospects in boxing heading into the 2012 Olympics, where the latter defeated the American, handing her her first loss of her amateur career.

She went on to boast an incredible 64 wins to just one loss, coming against Marshall, before both turned professional with talks of a fight for years finally coming to a head in 2022. Shields was able to exact her revenge in their professional bout – winning by unanimous decision as the two shared words of respect after the bout.

But since then, the two have gone back and forth on social media and after wins of their own, with a future fight seemingly likely – and now, potentially in a different sport.

2024 PFL vs Bellator
Shields recently impressed in her PFL win

The PFL announced Marshall will fight in Newcastle on June 8, with the PFL already announcing their intentions of a future bout with Shields.

A PFL statement read: “Savannah and Claressa Shields competed in one of the most-watched women’s boxing matchups in history when they first fought, and now with Savannah’s MMA debut, the two are on a collision course for a rematch wearing four ounce gloves and settling the score in the PFL SmartCage.”

The PFL have made a number of impressive signings of the last 12 months, including former UFC champion Francis Ngannou and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Paul is reportedly set to make his PFL debut at some point in 2024, however no bout has yet been announced with the 27-year-old currently scheduled to face Mike Tyson in July.

What happens when Drake shows up at your birthday party? The party would have been grand, and everyone must have had a great night. However, it seems Shakur Stevenson has to make a case for his birthday party, as he goes back and forth in a hilarious clip defending his “big” party. Even Claressa Shields couldn’t control her laughter when she watched the clip. What exactly happened?

Stevenson, 26, is enjoying his time off the ring. While the American is itching to return to the square circle, he continues to appear on podcasts and in interviews. When he sat down with Funny Marco, the conversation always hit a funny note. The host darted a question about his birthday and his party but soon pointed out that having Drake at the party didn’t make the party big. So, what exactly were the criteria that Funny Marco set?

Claressa Shield left in splits over Shakur Stevenson’s funny clip
“Sh*t Drake was there,” Stevenson, at 21-0, replied when the host inquired how big his party was. But the latter soon asked whether there were “big girls.” The lightweight boxer responded, “Big girls? No, I don’t. I ain’t see no big girls there.” That disappointed Marco, as he then labeled the party a “little party.”

However, the Newark native pleaded his case, called his party big, and mentioned that there were “a lot of people.” But Marco hit back. He said, “Definitely small.” As Stevenson again clarified that there were many people, the host specified there were “small people.” The two could later be seen talking about how fast the WBC lightweight champion was and how he could hit the host because of his reflexes.

But how Stevenson responded to Funny Marco’s questions had Claressa Shields in laughter. She turned to her Instagram handle and shared the clip on her story. Calling him a “baby,” she captioned the story, “LOL BABY BRO @SHAKURSTEVENSON.”

Shields and Stevenson share a close bond. She has come to Stevenson’s defense multiple times and hailed him as the next Floyd Mayweather. Stevenson is currently gearing up for his next fight. Meanwhile, Shields recently returned to MMA and bagged a split-decision win against Kelsey De Santis.

Who is Stevenson fighting next?
The lightweight boxer is rumored to make his first title defense against Artem Harutyunyan. Interestingly, the Armenian boxer is coming into the fight with a year-long layoff and a unanimous decision loss against Frank Martin. Therefore, the supposed fight has already raised quite a few eyebrows.

Moreover, this fight will end Stevenson’s contract with Top Rank and Bob Arum. It remains to be seen whether he can redeem himself after his last dismal performance against Edwin De Los Santos and which promotion he joins next.

What do you make of this amusing comment by Claressa Shields about Shakur Stevenson and the latter’s justification for his birthday party? Let us know in the comments below.

Boxer Claressa Shields, a Flint native, wins Sportswoman of the Year award

Last month, Shields made history, but in another sport as she made her return to mixed-martial arts.

The 29-year-old earned a split decision win over Kelsey De Santis in the first professional female MMA bout held in Saudi Arabia.

Shields, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, improved to a 2-1 record as a professional MMA fighter.

The bout was a rebound for Shields who suffered a loss against Abigail Montes in October 2021 in her second-ever MMA bout.

Her boxing record stands at 14-0 with two knockouts. Shields is recognized as the undisputed middleweight champion and No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in women’s boxing, according to both Ring Magazine and ESPN.

Claressa Shields is about to enter the octagon for the third time today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Having dominated the female boxing world, the undisputed queen will go toe-to-toe with Kelsey DeSantis. However, before her comeback following two years of absence, she hopped on social media today to convey a message for her devoted fan base!

The event in Saudi is a concoction of PFL and Bellator fighters, who will fight each other in the stacked card tonight. ‘The Goat’ Shields will fight from PFL’s corner after she signed a multi-fight deal with them in August 2023. So, the only question left unanswered is, what did ‘T-Rex’ Shields have to say to her followers?

Claressa Shield is the first woman to…

Turning to Instagram earlier today, the undefeated boxer claimed she was extremely excited about her fight tonight in the Kingdom of  Saudi Arabia. Shields claimed to be the first woman to fight in an MMA setting on Saudi Arabian soil. “Fight Day. [I am] Super excited to work toward the bigger picture! The first woman to fight MMA in Saudi Arabia happens today,” wrote Shield with hours left in her fight.

Meanwhile, her opponent, DeSantis, also had a lot to say about her clash with Shields. In a recent pinch, DeSantis appeared in an interview with Zenger News. When asked about her training camp for the upcoming fight and what Saudi Arabia has been like for her, she expressed her excitement. “It’s been great. It’s been a great camp, and I’m looking forward to a great fight,” said Santis. Meanwhile, she did not refrain from speaking about her preparation for the Shields fight.

Kelsey DeSantis on Shields’ overall progress in MMA
During the same interview, the reporter asked DeSantis about her thoughts on Shields’s time away from the octagon and whether she thinks it would have affected her performance. DeSantis, who is coming off a TKO win over Kathleen Nelson, claimed Shields could have learned a lot, but it takes more than two years to master it.
