The last year was a huge success for Charlie Woods! Tiger Woods’s son played the most number of events in the 2023 season and may start to replicate the success he achieved then in the 2024 season too. For now, the junior golfer has not competed in any of the matches. The 14-year-old started school in January and is probably waiting to make the official start soon.

Looking at his past season’s schedule, the 14-year-old may play in March and attempt to qualify for one of the biggest junior championships that usually happens near the end of the season in November.

Charlie Woods’s probable step toward the national championship
Last year in September, Woods Jr. won the Last Chance Regional event by hitting an 8-foot birdie at the par-4 18th hole to qualify for the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship. This was the second biggest moment of his amateur career as his team also captured the FHSAA Class A state championship in November. Interestingly, he might be on to something bigger in the 2024 season.

The qualifying event for the 2024 Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship will be held in March at the Mission Inn Resort & Club. The event will start on June 26 and end on the 27th. Charlie Woods may participate in the event as it is the Florida Regional Final, his home state.

The event still has a deadline of Friday, June 21 (midnight). Although Woods’s name is not on the participating list yet, he may soon apply for it. In 2023, Woods Jr. was 14 strokes away from winning the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship and tied for fourteenth spot concluding the 54 holes with a final score of 2 over 215.

Last year, it was the last event before the Final Championship in Coushatta; this year as well, Charlie Woods may follow a similar schedule.

In the past season, Woods Jr. had his father caddie for him in all the events, which broke the news that Woods was healthy enough to return to golf. However, will Woods caddie for his son this year?

Can Tiger Woods caddie for his son with health issues?
t was at Riviera that Tiger Woods had his official start on the PGA Tour after his surgery in April 2023. However, the anticipated rounds of Woods were cut short as he withdrew from the event, citing the flu. By the time Charlie competes, Woods will be healthy again to caddy for his son since his influenza will probably recover. The ending of the GOAT’s first appearance was not good, but the start was also somewhat less attractive.

In round one of the Genesis Invitational, Woods shanked the last hole. After playing 18 holes, Woods experienced back spasms again. It should be noted that the 15-time major champion has had six back surgeries in his life. It highlighted that Woods cannot take as much pressure as he previously used.

However, he might caddie using a motorized golf cart since he loves to spend time with his son on the course. As for the regional finals, the NBIII committee asks for prior approval for the caddies to use the golf cart. Once that is acquired and his health is available, the golfer may caddie for Charlie, just like last year.

Paige has millions of fans on social media

Paige Spiranac, the 30-year-old golf influencer, recently showcased her toned abs in herz latest social media post. Known for frequently sharing pictures and videos of herself on social media, she has accumulated millions of followers online. However, she revealed that some of her fans have rather unusual requests when it comes to the content they want to see from her.

In a revealing white top that displayed her ripped abs, Paige asked her followers, “What type of content do you want to see more of from me on here? (Don’t say feet pictures lol).”

She’s the most famous golf influencer
Despite these challenges, Paige continues to thrive as an influencer in the sports world. With a strong focus on golf-related content, she is fast-approaching the four million followers mark on Instagram. Her journey as an influencer has not been without its hurdles, but she has become one of the best-known figures in the sports influencer community.

In her own words, Paige has been candid about her experiences, revealing the less glamorous side of being in the public eye. Despite the unusual requests and disappointments she has faced, she remains a prominent figure in the golf and influencer world. As she continues to share her passion for golf and fitness with her followers, she undoubtedly inspires many along the way.

In 2018, GOLF.com asked Tiger Woods if his kids had any interest in following his footsteps into the golf world. “No, not really. They’re keen into soccer,” he said. “If they want to play golf, that’s great. If they don’t, that’s fine, too.” Six years later, his son, Charlie Woods, has become a sensation in the golf world, in part thanks to his uncanny resemblance to his father’s skills and mannerisms. Sam Woods, on the other hand? She’s stayed passionate about soccer, even competing for the Benjamin Buccaneers on the regional level. However, what was turning out to be a remarkable season for the team ended in heartbreak.

The 19-year-old and her team were one step away from the Florida High School Athletics Association’s Class 3A Girls Soccer Regional Finals. Coming into the semifinals with a 17-0 record this season, the Benjamin Buccaneers were the No.1-ranked team in Class 3A, No.2 in Florida, and No.9 in the US. Needless to say, the odds were in their favor against the King’s Academy Lions, who had an 11-4-2 record. However, as the game kicked off on February 9, the Lions proved to be more formidable than expected.

Despite being without their star player, Lola Hathorne, the Lions displayed their defensive prowess. But so did Sam Woods’ Buccaneers. After a goalless regulation play, the match went into 20 minutes of overtime. However, both teams held their ground, and overtime ended with a 0-0 score. That meant an impending penalty shootout.

Sam Woods’ team took the first shot, but the Lions goalkeeper stopped it. But as the Lions stepped up to the spot, their first penalty was saved, too. With both teams scoring their next two penalties, it was 2-2. But when Woods’ team missed another, King’s Academy saw an opening and took it, leading 3-2. They needed to score just once more to seal the deal, and that’s precisely what they did. Unfortunately, that meant Woods’ team’s unbeaten run came to an end, and so did their season.

Having lost their chance to go up against Edgewood in the Regional Finals, given their stellar stats, the match was a disappointing turn of events for Benjamin School. This defeat pushed Sam Woods and her team out of the race for the State Championship as well, dropping down to third in the district rankings. While this was disheartening, especially after the 5-0 result of the same fixture a year ago, they’ll “learn from this and come back stronger,” per their coach.

As for Sam Woods, what has her three years at Benjamin School looked like so far?

Sam Alexis Woods Biography: Meet Tiger Woods' Daughter

Tiger Woods would be proud of Sam’s wins with the Benjamin Buccaneers
Sam Woods is the 25th-ranked player in 3A D11 stats and has scored 7 goals in her 3 years with the Benjamin Buccaneers, having played 46 varsity games. This season alone, she played in 15 games, scoring 4 goals and making 2 assists. After defeating the Lions in the semifinals last year, Woods’ team played against this season’s regional champions, Edgewood. However, they missed out on the state semifinals as Edgewood got the better of them.

However, the Buccaneers won the District Championship in Palm Beach in 2023 and clinched the Ryan Rogers Remembrance Soccer Tournament later in August. Although Benjamin School’s girls soccer team has not won a title at the state level in the last three years, Sam Woods & Co. will aim to come back stronger next season, making the most of their chances to play for the State Championship!

  • Lexi Thompson: With the wind that we’re expecting, gusts of 25 to 30 miles per hour, you just have to trust your lines off the tees and really commit out there
  • Thompson: Getting to see two camels out on the course? You certainly don’t get to see that every day in a Pro-Am. I’m enjoying the whole experience

RIYADH: There’s an air of confidence in Lexi Thompson’s voice as she considers her chances at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF.

Lexi Thompson poised to make an impact at Aramco Saudi Ladies International
Lexi Thompson will be buoyed by her positive performance at last year’s tournament, where she equalled a course record at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.

With her second tournament of 2024 set to start in Riyadh on Thursday February 15, a relaxed Thompson was speaking to media – with the American chasing a first win since 2022.

After Alison Lee became the first American woman to win in Saudi Arabia back in 2023 at the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Riyadh, Thompson is hoping to be next in-line to claim a trophy in the country.

“I wasn’t here in October, but I did hear that it’s playing a bit differently, a little bit more length, and then the wind, which I think will play a big factor on the golf course.”

“It’s a great layout, it definitely involves a lot of thinking, I think going into the greens, a few of the tee shots are definitely on the wider side, but some of them neck up in certain areas.

“It’s a thinking golf course. But especially with the wind that we’re expecting, gusts of 25 to 30 miles per hour, you just have to trust your lines off the tees and really commit out there.”

Thompson will be buoyed by her positive performance at last year’s tournament, where she equalled a course record at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club, helping on her way to a T3 finish — missing out by just three strokes to Lydia Ko.

But rather than pile the pressure on herself, Thompson has been taking it all in her stride, even when a humpbacked hazard arrived on the golf course.

“Getting to see two camels out on the course? You certainly don’t get to see that every day in a Pro-Am. I’m enjoying the whole experience. I think all the girls are and it’s an amazing field this week and I think it just speaks wonders to the tournament.”

Two PGA Tour pros played with Lexi Thompson. What'd they think?

With a strong field set to include previous champions Georgia Hall and Emily Pedersen, as well World No. 8 Charley Hull, it’s certainly going to be a battle for Lexi Thompson out in the desert.

But with a renewed optimism, and the desire to capture some of last year’s magic, there’s hope for Thompson that 2024 can start in the best possible way, and claim the mammoth $5m USD prize fund.

“It’s my number one goal to win the tournament. I’m just going to take one shot at a time, fully commit to each and every shot, and see where it takes me.”

  • Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF set for 15-18 February 2024

This year’s Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF boasts a star-studded field of Major winners, Solheim Cup heroes, and golf’s rising stars as Lexi Thompson, Carlota Ciganda and Trichat Cheenglab top the billing.

Lexi Thompson Famous Golf Star is Single or Married?

As Riyadh continues to become the Kingdom’s cultural and sporting hub, the Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF will make its debut in the capital. The event continues to set the standard globally with a prize purse of $5 million USD, which equals the payout of the men’s PIF Saudi International. This marks a significant milestone in golf, as it stands as the largest event to achieve pay parity between the men’s and women’s equivalent competitions.

Major winner Lexi Thompson narrowly missed out on the chance to lift the Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF trophy in 2023. Two-time Major winner, Lydia Ko, finished two shots ahead of Thompson to seal the title as the American finished T3, alongside Lilia Vu and Manon De Roey.

No stranger to performing under pressure, Thompson was thrust into the limelight at just 12 years old, when she became the youngest player to compete in the US Women’s Open. The American will tee it up in Riyadh with her eyes set on the Kingdom’s most prestigious women’s golf title, and her third Ladies European Tour (LET) win.

On returning to Saudi Arabia, Lexi Thompson remarked: “The Aramco Saudi Ladies International signifies a significant step forward in advancing the sport, not just in Saudi Arabia but on a global scale, and it’s a privilege to be part of an event that advocates for equal prize funds in golf.

“My determination is stronger than ever to exceed my 2023 finish and secure my first Aramco Saudi Ladies International title, this time at a new course for me, and a new city in Riyadh.”

Thompson will be joined in the field by Solheim Cup rival, Carlota Ciganda, the Spanish sensation who had an unforgettable 2023, recording a T3 finish in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and sinking the winning putt in her home country to retain the Solheim Cup title for Team Europe.

Golf Saudi ambassador Carlota Ciganda looks to replicate her previous triumph at Riyadh Golf Club

Back in October, Ciganda led her team to victory at the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Riyadh with a staggering –43 at Riyadh Golf Club and is now looking to add a first Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF trophy to her impressive collection, which includes the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Florida individual trophy.

With an eye on achieving even more in 2024, Carlota Ciganda said: “Riyadh Golf Club holds a special place in my heart, especially after leading my team to victory at the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – Riyadh. Now, stepping back onto this course, I’m eager to channel that same energy and aim for another triumph.

“The continued prize fund equality with the men’s event is a testament to Golf Saudi’s commitment to elevating the game and driving pay parity across golf. This sets the stage for a future where gender equality in golf is not just an aspiration but a reality, and I am proud to be part of an event that advocates for equality in golf.”

Emerging Thai star, Trichat Cheenglab, joins the events roster after cementing her name on the LET in her first season on the Tour last year. The Race to Costa del Sol champion and Rookie of the Year 2023 will challenge the world’s best at her first Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF event.

Carlota Ciganda DQ'd from Amundi Evian for signing incorrect scorecard

Trichat Cheenglab, the 2023 LET Order of Merit winner, expressed: “Joining the lineup is an honour, and I am excited to compete at my first Aramco Saudi Ladies International. It’s a prestigious event with a prize fund that is driving conversations in sport forwards. I am here to make my mark, learn from the best, and contribute to the vibrant tapestry of women’s golf in Saudi Arabia.”

The Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF remains at the forefront of setting new benchmarks in the golf world, exemplifying Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to fostering the growth and global recognition of women’s sports. The stage is set for the sport’s best to engage in a fierce competition to claim the historic prize purse.

Spiranac, the world’s biggest golf influencer, decided to have some fun with the news of Tiger Woods and TaylorMade joining.

Syndication: Akron Beacon Journal, Paige Spiranac

Monday night, Tiger Woods unveiled his new apparel line, Sun Day Red. He is partnering with TaylorMade creating a unique, premium shoewear and clothing line that will have fans running to the store.

One day later, golf influencer Paige Spiranac decided to have some related fun.

Spiranac took to X, formerly Twitter, to post some truly hysterical content.

“Working on my new clothing line logo Fri Day Cut. The lines represent how many over par I was in my first pro tournament,” she wrote.

There is actually a bit more to unpack there than meets the eye.

Obviously, yes, the image she depicts has certain connotations to it physically. But also, the words itself have some meaning.

Part of what makes Spiranac so much fun is how self-deprecating she can be. Fri Day Cut, come on, that’s good. Then there’s the reference to Tiger’s stripes.

Woods’ new logo for Sun Day Red, as he pointed out during the special press event Monday night that Playing Through was invited to, was tailor made to him, pun intended.

Each of the 15 stripes on the new logo represent Woods’ 15 major championships.

Woods jokingly said at the event that the logo will need to be changed though after he wins his 16th major title.

Tiger partnering with TaylorMade comes on the heels of the shocking split with Nike after 27 years. Woods had actually been playing with TaylorMade equipment for the last few years since Nike curtailed their footprint in the sport of golf.

So, the divorce was only a matter of time.

All the while, leave it to Spiranac to find a comedic approach. She has built her reputation on her wittiness, sexuality and also her golfing prowess. Much of that was put on display yet again Tuesday with this post.

Who is Tiger Woods partnering up with? This question has dominated the minds of the ardent fans of the legend in the community ever since he exited Nike and teased a new apparel announcement with a couple of cryptic messages, one of which came out just a while back. Now, interestingly, the golfer’s final ‘Sunday Red’ tease seems to hint at a partnership with a certain brand, none other than Greyson Clothiers.

A tweet was shared by TWLEGION, a fan page dedicated to the professional, dishing out their “initial observations” regarding the post that Mr. T shared on February 10. While doing so, the handle seems to have taken a page out of the rumors associated with the legend’s son, Charlie Woods, who is reportedly said to have signed a deal with Greyson Clothiers.

Is Tiger Woods set to sign with Greyson Clothiers?
Woods had earlier divulged how he would reveal the details surrounding the ‘Sunday Red’ brand on February 12th. Well, commenting on the second tease following the same, the post shared on social media by TWLEGION mentions how the “collar” of the red shirt that the golfer sports in the X post “resembles Greyson stitch pattern and design.”

Reports, as per the sightings, thus indicate he is set to follow his son to the clothing company. Earlier in December 2023, the 14-year-old athlete was also rumored to have signed with Greyson Clothiers owing to his sporting garments from the label during his PNC Championship appearance with his father. Moreover, he was also welcomed to the family by NFL Sensation Larry Fitzgerald on his Instagram story, thereby adding fuel to the fire of speculations surrounding the same.

Well, that wasn’t all the fan page observed from the recent picture posted by the 15-time major champ. Commenting on his attire, the tweet also recounted how the legend “has never worn woven belts like this.” Adding on, however, they also pointed out how only guys like Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler wear “a belt similar to this from Nike.”

However, was that all that was observed from the post that was shared by the golfer? No, not even close, as another fan site put on their detective hats to dish out another set of speculations as per the recent sightings.

Woods’s cryptic announcement hints at partnership
TWSPOT, which is yet another fan site for the legend, went ahead to put on their sleuthing spectacles to observe the gloves that the 48-year-old was wearing in the post. They pointed out how “TaylorMade’s new Sunday Red logo is visible on the glove,” all the while speculating an alliance with his trusted club makers.

Nevertheless, in the end, that’s what they are—just rumors. But not to worry, just one more day is remaining for the athlete to make do with his promise and let his fans and the community know what or who is behind the iconic ‘Sunday Red’ announcements. Let us calm down and wait a bit more!

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac took to X (Twitter) on Sunday night to praise Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes after he led a game-winning drive in overtime against the San Francisco 49ers to earn his third Super Bowl victory.

Spiranac, 30, enjoyed the Super Bowl, including the halftime show, and was in disbelief with Mahomes. He finished the contest with 333 passing yards and two touchdowns.

“Patrick Mahomes is so clutch it’s ridiculous,” Spiranac tweeted.

Spiranac follows all major sports and works for an online sportsbook. She never revealed which team was her favorite to win.

Instead, Spiranac shared a pair of photos of her in a bikini, one with a Chiefs logo and the other boasting the 49ers emblem.

Spiranac also tweeted out her admiration for Usher bringing out pole dancers and roller blades for his performance.

“Can’t believe Usher had poles and didn’t call THE Sandy Mounds to work it,” Spiranac tweeted. “You should see what she can do with some roller blades.”

The 2024 LPGA season is on a small break! But don’t think that there is any less action happening in the lives of female pros! A lot of new stuff is happening in the golf world, just outside the greens. Like how Tiger Woods asked Nelly Korda to hit a ‘Kisser Cut’ and how Jessica Korda recently became a mommy golfer. Another LPGA star doing a lot in her off-season is Lexi Thompson!

The American golfer played only one LPGAT event this year and earned $21,585 from her 16th finish at the LPGA Drive-On Championship. However, it looks like the 28-year-old got the rest she needed for her next event.

Lexi Thompson switches on her vacation mode
The LPGA Tour is on a break until the Honda LPGA Thailand and many female golfers are enjoying the downtime. However, the event will start in the last week of February, and Thompson is preparing! In an Instagram post from the last day of January, she urged her fans to “push yourself, because nobody else is going to do it for you.”

Furthermore, she was seen donning a pair of Puma apparel, the brand she has been trusting since 2010. It is claimed by Forbes that the American golfer earns around $4 million a year from her endorsements!

Apart from working out for her next event, Lexi Thompson is also vacationing in the Dominican Republic. The LPGA star shared glimpses of her sunbathing in the resort town of Punta Cana while also sipping on some tropical juices.

But along with that, she noted that it is “time to get back home to grind.” After being away from the LPGA Tour for a month, she is getting her equipment in top-notch condition.

The American golfer is prepared for the upcoming LPGA Tour event
Lexi Thompson recently shared her visit to Club Champion with her fans. They are known for their professional golf club-fitting. The LPGA star claimed Club Champion fine-tuned her clubs, preparing her for the event in Thailand.

Her stardom has attracted a lot of brand deals towards her, making her one of the top-paid female golfers. However, she has repeatedly used her name for good too. Like recently, she raised awareness about a woe of female athletes – muscle pain.

She praised Iovera, a treatment method that uses extreme cold to temporarily stop nerves from sending immediate pain signals. This method is a great boon for athletes while they are on the field.

From all her social media posts made during the break, it looks like Lexi Thompson has kept herself busy by taking up new deals. But she has also not forgotten to kick back and relax, destressing before the big showdown in Thailand.
