Simone Biles, Jonathan Owens share kiss before Packers-49ers game: ‘So proud’

Olympics gymnastics legend Simone Biles shared heartfelt messages to her “catch” of a husband, Packers safety Jonathan Owens, on Instagram on Saturday ahead of Green Bay’s NFC divisional playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers — before the two shared a tender moment on the field.

“Good luck today baby,” Biles, 26, captioned a video of the couple kissing before last week’s wild card round win over the Cowboys on her Instagram Story. “Go 34.”

“Let’s do the damn thing! I’m so proud of you,” she also wrote.

Later on Saturday, Biles shared a photo of her divisional gameday look on her Instagram.

Her outfit featured a cutout of Owen’s number, 34, in Packers colors and a necklace with her husband’s first initial, J.

Less than an hour before kickoff against the 49ers, Biles was spotted on the Packers’ sideline giving Owens, 28, a good-luck hug and kiss.

Biles continues to support her husband following social media backlash of Owens’ appearance on “The Pivot” podcast, where the Packers safety claimed he was the “catch” of the relationship.

On the podcast, Owens claimed he “didn’t know who” Biles, one of the most accomplished gymnastics in Olympics history, was when they first matched on the exclusive dating app Raya.

Biles clapped back at critics, posting a meme to X with the caption, “Are y’all done yet?”

Biles has expressed intentions of competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she will hope to get to wear some more gold of her own.

Owens, 28, was first crushed by Niners tight end George Kittle on an incredible reception and yards after catch. That was just a football play, though. The real embarrassment came later.

Fans on social media had a field day with a clip of Owens flopping after 49ers tackle Trent Williams slightly pushed him.

Williams, 35, is a big man, but Owens clearly flopped after contact. Fans were especially angry due to his recent history with Biles.

Why do fans hate Jonathan Owens?
Owens went viral last month when he appeared on a podcast alongside Biles and claimed she was the one to approach him via a dating app.

Biles, 26, never stopped supporting her husband throughout the drama as fans said she deserved better. The Olympic gymnast will likely do the same this time around.

Owens flopping and getting man-handled by Kittle is more than enough to keep the hate going for a while longer, especially since Green Bay could not pull off the upset.

Simone Biles and Johnathan Owens have grown to be one of America’s favorite couples ever since their relationship was revealed. While Simone has gone on to frame herself with an illustrious career in Gymnastics, Owens has been a reckoning strong safety for the Green Bay Packers; thus elevating their presence together.

The celebrated Olympian and the NFL star met each other back in 2020 to mark a doting beginning. Though their demanding careers have set a distance between the two pretty often, they have ensured to extend their support for each other long and loud; presenting warming moments.

On the 22nd of November, Simone took to her Instagram story to share a throwback moment with the NFL star. The 7-time Olympic gold medalist posted a short video of the two from their wedding celebrations. Biles who rocked one of the 4 Galia Lahav’s wedding gowns was joined by Owens in an all-white suit amid the 360° spinning camera; embracing Background by Free Musician. Captioning the post, Biles wrote, “Missing this @jowens” followed by tear-filled emojis.

After meeting each other through a dating app, it took the couple several doting moments to finally tie the knot in 2023. In April, earlier this year, Biles and Owens celebrated their bond – with a second ceremony – in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. According to reports, Biles took the marriage up a notch with 4 wedding dresses to her name. “Kind of dramatic,” Simone remarked on the act. “But you only have a wedding once.” Four dresses or not, the couple has been filled with love.

Biles finds a supporter
When Owens first came across Biles’ presence, he revealed that he wasn’t aware of who Simone was. Interestingly, the fact did not seem to bother Simone. Fast forward to 2023, Biles has found the biggest supporter in the NFL star. “he’s always so supportive,” Biles said of Owens; according to People. “Even if I wake up in the morning and I’m like, ‘I’m tired, do I have to go,’ jokingly, he’s like ‘Don’t say that! You can do it, this is your dream!’ “

Earlier this year, Simone also stated that she was pretty attached to gymnastics before marriage. “and now I feel like I’m attached to so many other things and gymnastics is just a part of my day,” she told Olympics.com. stating that she gets to go home to her husband and her pets. Whatever venture Biles sets foot in, Owens has ensured to clasp her hand.
