Boxing champion Claressa Shields is back in the studio, flexing a different kind of muscle – her musical prowess. Following the success of her first music video, Shields is dropping a new single titled ‘GWOAT’ (Greatest Woman Of All Time), a fitting title for someone who dominates both the boxing ring and is now looking to make her mark on the music scene. This isn’t Shields’ first foray into music.

Back in 2021, she released a song that garnered over 43,000 views, showcasing her talent beyond the ropes. Now, with ‘Pop My S**t’ fading into the distance, fans can expect another glimpse into the multifaceted world of Claressa Shields. Furthermore, Shields tried to give her fans a glimpse of some adventure she had BTS (behind the scenes) on the shoot of her latest music video.

Claressa Shields changed outfits 3 times
In the past, there have been many boxers who have made great music, and the list includes great names like Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Mike Tyson, and Roy Jones Jr. So much so that De La Hoya even received a Grammy nomination for ‘Best Latin Pop Album’ back in 2001. Well, now Claressa Shields is trying to do the same, as she aspires to make a great rap song with her new release.

But more importantly, she’s having a fun time doing it. And she shared it with her fans on the X, synonymously developing some hype for the track. In her post, she mentioned that she enjoyed trying out new outfits for the video shoot. She wrote on X, “My video shoot for my new single “Pop my s**t” went so well! I had so much fun ! I switched outfits 3x!” The fans definitely got excited about it.

The fans discussed the gorgeous pictures she uploaded in her tweet and how she looked stunning in all of them. Not only that but Shields also received praise for exploring new things.

Fans are all praise for the ‘GWOAT’
As of now, the fans are quite excited about her new music, so there’s a chance that it’ll garner more news than her first. They also loved the marketing style of ‘GWOAT’. One of the fans stated how Shields looked amazing in the outfit, and there was no criticism whatsoever from their side whatsoever.

Another fan sarcastically asked the undisputed super middleweight champion to calm down while referring to her as rapper Cardi B.

One fan stated that finally, Shields is trying to get serious about her music career. So, she’s doing it seriously this time.

A fan again compared her style to that of Janet Jackson.

An X user pointed out that Shields looked quite fit in the dress, and understood that this was because she hit the gym so regularly.

The fans showed nothing but support for the boxing champion and could see potential in this upcoming music video. Hopefully, it’ll live up to the hype. What are your thoughts about this? Let us know in the comments section.

Claressa Shields hasn’t held back on one fighter.
Claressa Shields has continued her war of words against Keith Thurman as the former welterweight world champion gets ready for his fight with Tim Tszyu next month.

Claressa Shields says former Manny Pacquiao opponent is 'not that great of a fighter'

Shields has commented frequently about being a better boxer than Thurman based on her credentials inside the ring compared to the Florida man’s.

After collecting multiple honors in boxing, Shields is eager to do similar in MMA, but that hasn’t prevented her from being vocal about high profile boxers such as Thurman.

“Keith Thurman, he’s not that great of a fighter. He’s good, not great,” said Shields when speaking to talkSPORT.

“Me, I’m great regardless of whether I am a woman or not. They want me to bow down like, ‘Keith Thurman is a man, he was a world champion so that makes you less than him.’ Yeah right! That’s not the truth, and ain’t nobody going to make me believe it.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has opened as a considerable favorite to beat Manny Pacquiao in the announced RIZIN rematch in 2024. Pacquiao revealed the fight live at RIZIN 45 on December 31, but nothing has been confirmed on Mayweather’s end.

How Floyd Mayweather Makes and Spends Millions

As per BetOnline, Mayweather opened as a -225 favorite, with Pacquiao trailing as a +175 underdog. As the lines adjusted, the fight resembled more of a pick’em, with Mayweather as a -130 favorite and Pacquiao sitting at +100 (subject to change, view the real-time odds at BetOnline.).

The bout is likely to be an exhibition match with no repercussions on either fighter’s professional record, which may have swayed the odds in favor of Pacquaio.

Before Pacquiao can consider Mayweather, he must first overcome Buakaw Banchamek in his scheduled April 20 exhibition boxing match in Thailand.

Billed as “The Match of Legends,” Pacquiao and Buakaw will fight to receive a cash prize of $289,000 (10 million Baht) and the WBC Legend title. The $25 million exhibition will be six rounds of boxing following international boxing rules.

Depending on the outcome of the exhibition, Pacquiao could become the betting favorite or more of an underdog in his reported rematch with Mayweather.

Their first bout was one of the highest-selling fights in combat sport’s history, generating over $400 million in revenue. Time will tell whether a rematch in RIZIN will even come close to these numbers.

Eight years on from their ‘Fight of the Century’ clash and Manny Pacquiao has announced a surprise rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

The 45-year-old Filipino fighter, who remains the only boxer in history to have won twelve major world titles in eight different weight divisions, is set to be a busy man in 2024.

He will face off against kickboxing and Muay Thai legend Buakaw ‘The White Lotus’ Banchamek on April 20 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok – a contest that will consist of six three-minute rounds.

Pacquiao has been tipped to make a triumphant return to boxing for some time, with Conor McGregor recently calling out the eight-division world champion to fight him in Saudi Arabia.

And it appears Pacquiao will go head-to-head with old foe Floyd Mayweather in what will likely be a fascinating rematch.

Speaking at the MMA event Rizin 45 this weekend, Pacquiao addressed the crowd in Japan with his announcement.

Mayweather stripped of boxing title over championship fee

“I hope to see you in Japan in a big fight against… Floyd Mayweather,” he said, after getting permission to reveal his opponent.

“I thought you wouldn’t want me to say that. I am excited. Thank you for always supporting ‘RIZIN’ promotions.”

As you can see from the footage below, Pacquiao’s revelation received little-to-no reaction from the thousands in attendance at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Nobuyuki Sakakibara, the president of RIZIN, also confirmed Mayweather vs Pacquiao II will take place on one of their cards, although details surrounding the bout are yet to emerge.

As mentioned earlier, Conor McGregor repeatedly called out Pacquiao for a boxing or UFC fight as he watched ‘The Day of Reckoning’ event featuring Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

The former featherweight and lightweight UFC champion, who hasn’t competed since suffering a broken leg in a defeat to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, sat next to Cristiano Ronaldo as he issued the call-out.

“I love Manny, tell Manny to grow a set of balls,” he said. “Tell Manny to grow a set of balls and fight me at a higher weight.

“Why not? It’s his sport. If he wants me to come down to a smaller weight he should let me use more of my weapons.

“I should be able to kick, I should be able to grapple. Shouldn’t that be fair? Say it to him, is he a man or a mouse? Is Manny a man or a mouse?”

Speaking to heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora later on in the night, McGregor said: “How about me vs Manny here in Saudi. How does that sound to you?”

“Wouldn’t you think Manny should have to come up to my weight, considering it’s his sport. Wouldn’t you think that’s what a man would do versus what a mouse would do.”

American and Filipino to step back into the ring in an epic fight

Both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao gave one of the most legendary fights in boxing history in 2015 and now the Filipino raised his voice to announce that they will step into the ring again in 2024 in a new exhibition.

Pacquiao will come out of retirement and face another retiree, Mayweather. The Filipino had a moment of indiscretion and declared during an event in Tokyo, Japan, that there will be a rematch between them for 2024.

This second contest between Pacquiao and Mayweather means a rematch for Pac-Man, who in the controversial fight of 2015 lost it against

Money, who officially retired from the boxing scene as undefeated; and apparently this second fight will take place in 2024 much earlier than expected, and with both as retired and with political and business activities.

Although in his announcement The Pacman did not reveal the tentative date for the fight, so it will be in the coming days when the day could be known, for his part Mayweather has not spoken about it, so the boxing world is waiting for more information in the early days of 2024.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have a rivalry that still burns strong to this day.

The boxing icons spent years linked to one another as fans debated a potential fight between them, with that question ultimately answered in 2015.

Mayweather outboxed Pacquiao and beat him by unanimous decision when their bout finally happened.

There was respect between them afterwards, but this did not fully end their rivalry.

Fast forward several years and the pair are both now retired from professional boxing.

Last year, Mayweather travelled to Japan for an exhibition contest against MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura, only for the organisers to bring Pacquiao out to promote the event also.

He attended the press conference prior the contest and sat next to Mayweather, prompting a remarkable exchange.

Floyd beat Manny in May 2015

It began when Pacquiao arrived and announced: “I’m here to support my boxer, Asakura.”

Mayweather gestured towards his old rival and said: “There’s no blueprint on how to beat Floyd Mayweather, he can tell you that himself.

“When we talk about Hall-of-Famer, he’s a Hall-of-Famer, but nobody has the blueprint on how to beat Floyd Mayweather.”

here had also been rumours that the exhibition organisers were hoping to arrange a rematch between the pair.

So Mayweather told Pacquiao: “Don’t let them trick you into getting your ass whooped again.”

Pacquiao was more mild-mannered in his response, but still got a few digs in.

“He’s older than me, I’m still young,” the Filipino icon said, before boasting of his accomplishments that his rival didn’t match.

“What I have done and accomplished in boxing is one of a kind, because to get eight different weight divisions is not that easy.

“I’m not trying to boast what I have accomplished in life, but I am just saying this to repeat in case you forget.”

In an incredibly unsubtle shot, Pacquiao added: “The best fighter in the world has humility.”

Mayweather did not heed this humility advice as he fired back: “When we talk about what’s going on inside that squared circle, I’m the best, no matter how you cut it or slice it.

“No matter if you go one hundred years back or three hundred years back all the way to now, there’s only one best and that’s Floyd Mayweather.”
