Simone Biles‘ 27th birthday celebration went without any fancy colors or glittery hues, as the gymnast shared previously. In the celebration, her loving mood toward her husband, Jonathan Owens, came out to be prominent. Furthermore, the couple’s furry babies, Rambo, Lilo, and Zeus, made the perfect attendees of the simple celebration that night in their Texan abode. However, the most decorated gymnast savored the familiar company entirely after including a few more loving faces from her inner circle in extending the celebration.

Among those faces, the baby Biles made an aspiring attendance at all the love she usually brings. After noticing her niece at the birthday celebration, the ingenue aunt was on cloud nine. Eventually, the aunt, Simone Biles, made her IG fans witness baby Biles’s presence at the simple party.

Simone Biles’s celebration receives the apple of her eyes as the guest
On March 18, Simone Biles shared an IG story, divulging more about her birthday celebration. But keeping everyone in awe, baby Biles aka Ronni Biles appeared on that celebration spree. The story showed the year-old niece, with a curious gaze towards her aunt, taking her time to taste a snack bar. The pacified aunt could only give out at the moment with an exchange of love. So, the story’s caption remained that way: “cutie girl[emoji]”. Incidentally, Simone Biles’s brother Ron Biles II was also present in the visual. But for little Ronni Biles, Aunt Simone holds a special place. In previous places as well, the gymnast shared certain spectacles.

Since her birth on November 25, 2022, Ronni Biles has claimed the loving lap of her aunt. Moreover, in narrating her first meeting with the youngest member of the Biles family, Simone penned, “My precious little niece made her debut friday. I’m so proud to be your TT & I’m excited to spoil you!” Since then, the bond strengthened between the Biles with a mixture of love and affection. However, the birthday bash went succulent for Simone Biles as well after the gathering of such homebodies. Moreover, a few more special ones came to the fore to make the birthday occasion more than a special one.

An upcoming special outing sets the mood with a special wish
Just a few days before Simone Biles’s 27th birthday, her husband Jonathan Owens received his NFL call-out. But this time not from the Green Bay Packers but the Chicago Bears ultimately welcomed the 28-year-old athlete into their squad. Since then, the proud wife has expressed her eagerness to shift to Chicago to witness NFL tussles. Several Tweets have come from her since the contract was signed. In exemplifying the merriment, she once wrote “Also I just love the city of Chicago” on X. Moreover, she also expressed her ethereal love towards the Chicago cuisines. Therefore, Chicago could not stop reciprocating her emotions.

After noticing such titillating fanfare, Chicago Bears’ X-handle pacified Simone Biles’s birthday moment by sending a heartfelt wish. It wrote, “Happy birthday to the newest Bears fan, @Simone_Biles![emoji]” on X for the birthday girl. So in the gathering of loved ones and cherished affairs, Simone Biles’s 27th birthday bash would remain memorable for a long.

Simone Biles‘s husband is leaving the Green Bay Packers and she couldn’t be happier.

That’s not often the reaction WAGs have when their boyfriends and spouses get a one-way ticket to a new team. However, for the Olympic gold medalist, who is based in Texas, not having to travel to see husband Jonathan Owens play in Green Bay, Wis., and instead, finding her way to his new home in Chicago where he will play for the Bears, is something to celebrate. Aside from the great food and the many sights and sounds in the Windy City, the Biles is excited to have a direct flight to see her hubby in action.

Biles did show love to the city of Green Bay, and the Packers organization, tweeting, “just wanted to say thank you packer nation for embracing my husband & I” she wrote before adding, “green bay will always hold a special place in our hearts!”

She went further in her kind words, noting that her enthusiasm for Chi-Town shouldn’t be misconstrued as anything negative towards Green Bay after a cheesehead (the name for Packers fans and Wisconsin-ites) asked her to “be respectful.” She responded, “I will always respect green bay & the packers! It just made it difficult (connecting flights) because I was training haha,” she wrote.

Simone Biles Had The Funniest Response To Her Husband Leaving The Green Bay Packers To Play In Chicago

Owens also showed love to his former team following the news of his new two-year contract. “Appreciate it @packers for the opportunity 🙏🏽 And Packer nation for welcoming me and my wife with open arms, will never forget my time in GB.”

Owens played for the Packers for one season, signing for the team in May of 2023. He was previously with the Houston Texans from 2019 to 2022, and got his start in the league with the Arizona Cardinals after being an undrafted free agent in the 2018 NFL draft.

The couple, who started dating early in the pandemic, married in April 2023.

So what’s next for the Olympic champion as she prepares for life in Chicago? Well, after the Summer Games in Paris, where she will defend her title as the greatest gymnast there ever was, it sounds like she’ll be indulging in all the food the city has to offer.

Biles wrapped up her excitement about the new beginnings by showing love to her man. “So incredibly proud of my husband,” she wrote. “The grind never stops! this is just the beginning!”

Witnessing Simone Biles perform on the global stage is to behold the pinnacle of dedication and talent. Yet, amid the breathtaking flips and twists, there lies a quieter yet equally profound demonstration of support—the unwavering presence of her parents, Nellie and Ronald Biles. Despite not being her biological parents, their boundless love and encouragement for Simone are unmistakable.

Recently, as Simone Biles embarked on a well-deserved holiday with her husband Jonathan Owens, it felt like a belated honeymoon, a chance to savor the bliss they missed out on last year due to work commitments. While miles may separate Simone from her mother, their bond remains unbreakable, with her mother’s unwavering support visible even from afar.

The touching words from her mom melted hearts!
Two days ago, Simone Biles shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, featuring a series of captivating images. In one, she and her husband Jonathan Owens embraced each other. Another showcased their elegance as they posed alongside the horse, with Simone stunning in a black gown that added an extra sparkle to the scene.

The third image captured them atop the horse, their love radiating through each frame. Despite the simplicity of the caption, “in good company,” the comment that stole hearts came from Simone’s mother, expressing her maternal pride with a simple yet powerful “beautiful.” Simone Biles owes much of who she is today to her parents.

Introduced to gymnastics at the young age of six by Ronald and Nellie, they not only fostered her passion but also owned the renowned World Champions Centre, where Simone honed her skills. However, amidst Simone’s incredible achievements and the legacy of her family’s gymnastics centre, questions arise about her adoption and her biological parents.

Unveiling Simone Biles’ heart-wrenching past
Simone Biles, faced early hardships due to her biological mother’s struggles with substance abuse, leading to her frequent incarceration. In 2017, Simone shared on Dancing With the Stars that her maternal grandfather, Ronald, and his wife, Nellie, stepped in to provide the loving care she needed. At just three years old, Simone entered foster care, but she cherished the visits to her grandparents, finding solace and joy in their presence.

Eventually, her grandfather made a heartfelt gesture, inviting her to call them “Mom and Dad,” a moment that marked the beginning of a profound bond that would shape Simone’s life. To Simone, Ronald and Nellie are not just her grandparents but the loving figures who rescued her and showed her the meaning of unconditional love and kindness.

  • Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens told The Pivot he didn’t know who she was when they met.
  • The football player met the Olympic gold medalist on the dating app Raya.
  • Owens is now getting backlash from Biles’ fans after saying he was “the catch” in the relationship.

Jonathan Owens recently said he’s “the catch” in his relationship with Simone Biles — despite the Olympian being the most decorated gymnast of all time. And her fans aren’t having it.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens

Owens, 28, and Biles, 26, both appeared on The Pivot podcast, hosted by former NFL players Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder, in a wide-ranging interview that also discussed how the two athletes met.

In a clip of the podcast released on Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers safety told the hosts he met Biles on the dating app Raya.

“I didn’t know who she was at the time, but like, the first thing I saw was she’s got a bunch of followers, so in my mind, I’m like, she gotta be good,” he said.

When pushed about how he could have possibly not heard of the multi-Olympic gold medalist, Owens said he had been busy.

“When she won the Olympics, I was in college, and we didn’t have NBC. We didn’t have Olympics channels and we’re in camp. We’re in camp in late July, early August,” he said. “So I’m not paying attention…I’m like, ‘Lemme see who this is.’ I never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity.”

After Biles messaged him on the app, the two eventually wed in April 2023 in Houston, People reports.

Clark later asked Owens: “So you was really the catch?”

“I always say the men are the catch,” Owens responded.

Owens’ response drew criticism and consternation across the internet — especially as the clip dropped the week Biles was named the Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year for the third time.

“Simone Biles’ husband is a walking red flag,” said one TikToker.

“The way this unknown man sat there and tried to humble his wife, Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, Simone Biles. In the words of Adele, ‘Divorce babes, divorce,'” said another.

One X user went all the way back in Owens’ X profile to dig up a tweet in which he proved he was at least aware of the sport (though Biles didn’t compete in the 2012 Games).

Still, there were some users on social media who seemingly defended Owens, writing: “Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens [are] clearly happy together and they can joke about how they met and initially got together but leave it to total strangers on here to get irrationally invested and upset over his comments about their relationship.”

To be fair, Owens is not the only person to end up dating or marrying someone whom they didn’t realize was famous at the time.

Lena Dunham’s husband Luis Felber said he had to Google her before they went on a date. The singer Lily Allen just thought “Stranger Things” star David Harbour was “a sexy policeman from a reality TV show” because he’d posted a pic of himself in his Jim Hopper costume.

Despite the online backlash, Owens seems to be “unbothered” by the criticism over his comments, or at least that’s what he posted on Instagram on Friday.

“Just know we locked in over here,” he wrote.

Business Insider reached out to Owens for comment on the backlash but didn’t hear back immediately.

Juszczyk made an original vest for Iowa’s star to celebrate senior day

Taylor Swift. Simone Biles. And now Caitlin Clark.

Clark received a custom signature vest designed by Kristin Juszczyk as a surprise after her final regular-season game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Sunday. Clark and the No. 6 Hawkeyes gave their fans plenty of reasons to celebrate as she broke Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA Division I scoring record just before halftime in a 93-83 win.

The vest features cutouts of Clark’s name and No. 22 from Iowa’s white and black jerseys. In diagonal black squares are stitched “NCAA women’s scoring leader” and “all-time Iowa leader in: points, assists, 3PM, FGM.” The school-specific records were specifically chosen since it was important to Clark, an Iowa native, and her fans, Juszczyk said.

“I wish I could add all her awards on there, but you would need 700 jackets to fit all that. Which is incredible,” Juszczyk told Yahoo Sports on Friday. “It’s a special piece and I hope she loves it.”

Juszczyk, whose husband, Kyle Juszczyk, plays for the San Francisco 49ers, teased the piece on her Instagram stories Wednesday with an emoji sequence: basketball, black heart, yellow heart, woman’s face. A few fans on social media caught on, and Juszczyk later added a photo showing her cut out a Big Ten logo patch and tagging State Farm.

It completes a trio of notable headliners in a whirlwind first two months of 2024 for Juszczyk. She earned overnight attention when she designed a Kansas City Chiefs puffer jacket for Swift to wear at the team’s sub-zero playoff game. It featured boyfriend Travis Kelce’s number, and an iconic photo circulated on social media of Swift behind frosted windows.

Weeks prior, she designed a vest for Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in Olympic history who will likely compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics, to wear in celebration of her husband, Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens. Juszczyk also designed pieces for model Olivia Culpo, who is engaged to 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, and actor Taylor Lautner, a diehard Detroit Lions fan. Each piece takes approximately a full 40-hour workweek, she said.

Clark’s vest is her first piece for a collegiate athlete or in the collegiate realm.

“It’s so special to me to be able to create, especially for a woman of her caliber,” Juszczyk said. “She’s such a trailblazer in her league and it’s special to be able to see her selling out these arenas and breaking all these records… What a great way to be able to show her how much her fans love her and to be able to just represent herself through a piece of clothing.”

Caitlin Clark received a customized vest on senior day from Kristin Juszczyk, who designed the viral Taylor Swift puffer coat.

State Farm reached out with the idea recently to commemorate Clark’s collegiate accomplishments, and Juszczyk jumped at the opportunity. The company signed Clark as its first collegiate athlete spokesperson in October and sponsored the “Covering Clark” in-game tracker as she pursued record after record.

Juszczyk also made a one-of-one vest for Jake from State Farm, the company spokesman played by Kevin Miles. Clark is featured in national commercials with Jake from State Farm, Jimmy Butler and Reggie Miller that have expanded her reach to household-name status.

State Farm is a WNBA sponsor with naming rights to the WNBA Draft for which Clark declared earlier this week. She is the presumptive No. 1 pick to the Indiana Fever on April 15 at BAM in Brooklyn where Jake from State Farm could make a repeat appearance after attending last year. The connection is one of the most clear examples of why Clark won’t lose all of her name, image and likeness deals joining the WNBA.

Miles and Kristyn Cook, chief marketing officer at State Farm, were in attendance at Iowa City on Sunday, and Maya Moore was a surprise guest for Clark. Moore was Clark’s favorite player while growing up and attending Minnesota Lynx games.

Juszczyk had prior commitments and was unable to attend the hottest ticketed women’s basketball game in history. She was in New York on Friday and shared photos on her Instagram of meetings with the NFL and NBA. She was granted a licensing deal with the NFL in late January after fans clamored to have a piece like Swift’s jacket.

“As much as I adore making these one-off pieces for these special people, I know that all I really want to do is dress these fans,” Juszczyk said. “And I’m only one girl, I can’t dress the whole stadium or else I’d be bleeding.”

Juszczyk’s designs landed so well with women because it can still be difficult to find sports apparel that doesn’t fall into the “shrink it and pink it” approach. The WNBA has turned to more third-party apparel companies in recent years for better, more unique offerings, but could still use help in merchandising and apparel.

No one will ever have a vest identical to Clark’s, but maybe down the road fans can buy a different type of piece to celebrate the woman who now holds the all-time college basketball scoring record, men’s or women’s.

“We’re not trying to pigeonhole ourselves to anything,” Juszczyk said. “So whether that’s NFL, NBA, WNBA, collegiate sports, Olympics, you know … the ideas are endless.”

The celebrated Olympian just returned from a Hawaiian vacation with Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles may just have returned from her glorious waterfront vacation to Hawaii with husband Jonathan Owens, but her memories are still basking in the sun and sand.

Simone Biles attends the 6th Annual InStyle Awards on November 15, 2021 in Los Angeles, California.

The celebrated gymnast, 26, took to her Instagram with a pair of outtakes from her beautiful trip with her husband, wowing fans with more bikini photos.

Simone looked absolutely incredible posing in front of a surfboard in a neon pink string bikini with an ombre pattern that transformed into orange and yellow hues.

The couple also attended a friend’s wedding during their time in the Aloha state, although the decorated Olympian continued impressing fans with more swimsuit snaps.

Another pair she posted earlier left fans stunned, as she reclined against her beach backdrop in a tiny yellow ruffled string bikini that displayed her athletic physique and extremely toned legs (and she even made sure to point her toes).

Simone covered up her face with a straw cowboy hat and dropped a Beyoncé reference with her caption, joking: “This ain’t Texas.”

While in Hawaii, the elite athlete received some good news – she was one of the selected nominees for the Laureus World Sports Awards honoring 2023 achievements.

The awards will be handed out at a show on April 22 in Madrid, and some of the other American nominees include Mikaela Shiffrin, Noah Lyles, and Sha’Carri Richardson.

The gymnast has previously won Sportswoman of the Year thrice at the awards, and is nominated this year for “Comeback of the Year” for her triumphant showing at the World Championships this October (where she won four golds and one silver) following nearly two years away from the sport after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Simone reacted to the news on her Instagram Stories, writing: “I’m always speechless about these nominations. My sincerest gratitude for everyone who has supported me & continues to support my journey & dream.”

Her return to the sport began in August when she competed at the U.S. Classic and reached a fever pitch with her performance at Worlds this October.

She won her sixth all-around gold medal, thereby becoming the most successful gymnast of all time in Olympics and World Championships. She also won medals in Teams, Floor, and Balance Beam, while winning a silver for Vault.

Biles and Owens’ getaway comes after they posted romantic messages to each other on Valentine’s Day earlier this month.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to my best friend ❤️❤️ I can’t believe that it’s been 2 years since this amazing day, man does time fly,” Owens wrote on Instagram alongside photos of their proposal. “You’re my rock, i feel like i can accomplish anything as long as i have you by my side. So excited to see where life takes us, I love you so much baby ❤️❤️❤️.”

“I love you more than ever baby🤍 best decision ever.” Biles wrote in the comment section.

Meanwhile, she also shared touching words about her husband for the special day.

“I love you so much baby ❤️🤞🏽,” Owens commented under his wife’s post.

As the 2024 Paris Olympics draws nearer, all eyes are on Simone Biles, as she says, “That’s the path that I would love to go.” If Biles clinches a medal in Paris, she will break the record of Shannon Miller, who is known for winning seven Olympic medals. However, the pivotal gateway to Paris lies in the qualification process which is the Winter Cup. It unfolds from February 23 to 25 at the International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

This event serves as a launching pad for elite athletes as they commence their journey into the Olympic year. Despite the anticipation surrounding this competition, Biles’ absence raises eyebrows. What’s behind her decision to skip the event?

Simone Biles’ absence from the Winter Cup raises questions
Biles won’t be gracing the Winter Cup stage, notably absent from the official entry list. Despite her aspirations for the 2024 Olympic team, the legendary gymnast conveyed to Vanity Fair a tempered perspective, stating, “If I don’t make it to Paris, it won’t absolutely crush me.” This perspective stems from her Tokyo Olympics experience, where she grappled with the “twisties,” resulting in the loss of air awareness during routines and potential injury, necessitating her withdrawal from multiple events.

Is it the pressure, the twisties, or anxiety that’s keeping her away, or is she solely focused on training hard for Paris? Whatever the reason may be, we can only hope she’s taking the time she needs. However, as the Winter Cup approaches, it appears that Simone Biles is enjoying her well-deserved break, as she expressed yesterday, “Ready to go on vacation again.” However, previously during the Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles’ decision to withdraw from the team surprised Olympic viewers, but it followed years of stress and pressure on the shoulders.

A closer look at Simone Biles’ mental health struggles
Following her decision to withdraw, she further elaborated on the immense pressure she had been facing, acknowledging its impact on her. Biles confirmed that her withdrawal wasn’t due to a physical injury but rather her fear of potential mistakes that could lead to injury during competition. By openly discussing her struggle to find the right mindset for the team final, Biles joined the ranks of star athletes addressing the mental challenges of high-stakes competition, often unseen by the public.

Despite her unease during the Olympics, Biles had endured years of challenges since her stellar performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics, including confronting abuse within USA Gymnastics and the added complexities of the pandemic-induced postponement of the Tokyo Games. Throughout, she continued to strive for excellence while navigating personal and professional pressures, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.

Simone Biles is a formidable force in the gymnastics world, who has captivated fans worldwide with her extraordinary talent and record-breaking accomplishments. But how many medals does this renowned athlete have to her name, given her brilliant career? Examining Biles’ incredible path reveals a mosaic of victories and significant events that have left her mark on the annals of sports history.

Simone Biles, a 26-year-old all-around, has expanded the boundaries of gymnastics with every elegant flip and flawless landing. Notwithstanding her recent exit from the upcoming Winter Cup, she still boasts an immaculate tally of wins, via brand endorsement deals and professional overtures. The 7x Olympic medalist moonlights also as a doting wife and a par exemplary athlete. One question however lingers deep, and that is how many shiny talismans of victory does she have ensconced in her cabinet?

The Medal-lion Biles for the win
Simone Biles’ performance at her maiden Olympics in Rio 2016, made her the inexorable juggernaut she is, when she won individual gold medals in the all-around vault, and floor exercises, along with a bronze on the balance beam, marked the beginning of her journey to gymnastics stardom. With this stunning achievement, Biles entered an epochal league of her own and shot to the top of the discipline. We’d be remiss if we didn’t point out her 7 cumulative Olympic medals, out of which four are gold, one is a silver and the other’s a neat bronze, acquired during her trysts in Tokyo and Rio.

Team USA | Simone Biles

However, even though she faced obstacles that tried her fortitude, Biles continued to dominate and added medals to her collection at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Biles managed to secure a bronze on the balancing beam and helped Team USA win the silver medal, demonstrating her resilience in the face of the odds. She made her debut in the 2013 Championships in Antwerp, where she won gold in the floor exercises and all-around, as well as silver in the vault and bronze in the beam. That’s not all this phenom embellishes to her credit though.

Mere mortals can’t fathom the medals galore that Biles possesses
Outside of the Olympic stage, Simone Biles has left a lasting mark at the World Championships, where over her illustrious career, she has earned an astounding thirty medals. With 23 gold medals under her belt and the record for most World Championship wins ever, Biles is the most decorated gymnast in the history of the sport.

Throughout her career, Simone Biles has accumulated a staggering number of medals in both team and individual competitions. She won an Olympic gold medal in the team competition in Rio 2016. She won two golds in the often overlooked Pacific Rim Championships too, in Everett for the Team and All-around, respectively.

By taking home numerous titles at the US Championships and US Classic events, she has further solidified her reputation as a gymnastics powerhouse. She won gold in the vault, bars, beam, floor, and all-around exercises in multiple tournaments, including the 2016 and 2018 events. With each competition, Biles pushes the boundaries even further. Despite her absence from the upcoming Winter Cup, her indelible mark will be left at Paris 2024, a place where she can add additional medals to her ever-burgeoning repertoire.

Gymnastics fans are agog with excitement eight years after the 2016 Rio Games, with three-time Olympic medalist Gabby Douglas, considering a comeback to the Olympics. Douglas is the first African American to win the Olympic individual all-around champion title in 2012 London. In 2013, Simone Biles entered the elite scene, becoming the first African-American woman to win the US gymnastics championship.

At the 2016 Rio Olympics, as “Final Five” the duo shared the gold medal as a team. While Biles won four medals overall, three of which were gold. There is a certain thrill as they return to the mats this year, overshadowing the tensions in their relationship outside the mats. Certain social media backlash was the precursor to this concatenation of events that involved a woman’s sartorial choices.

A piece of fabric divided Gabby Douglas and Simone Biles
Dubbed “The GOAT,” Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast in history, standing at a height of just four feet eight inches. Although there were some disagreements along the way to her extraordinary achievement. It happened in response to Aly Raisman’s disclosure of se**al assault by USA Gymnastics doctor Lawrence G. Nassar when the debate surfaced in a Twitter conversation. Raisman’s words, which supported women’s freedom to express themselves sans fear of criticism, ran counter to Douglas’s deleted response, which emphasized women’s need to dress modestly.

Biles publicly called out Douglas, “shocks me that I’m seeing this but it doesn’t surprise me…,” expressing displeasure at the vapid statement and requesting support to protect her friend and colleague Raisman. The incident brought to light a sharp difference in their viewpoints, although Douglas later retweeted, “i didn’t correctly word my reply & i am deeply sorry.”

During the harassment case, Biles never wavered in her backing of 2012 and 2016 gymnastics Olympics team captain Aly Raisman. Later, Raisman, McKayla Maroney, Simone Biles, and Maggie Nichols focused their criticism on the FBI’s improper conduct in the investigation into the charges against Nassar and the intimidation that came from the sport’s governing organizations. Now, with a plethora of bitter-sweet history behind them, both the gymnasts are once again crossing paths after their return.

The veteran gymnasts’ comeback
Following a 2 years and 2 days professional hiatus after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Biles reaffirmed her supremacy last year. She won the 8th all-around national competition in August and the sixth individual Worlds’ medal in October 2023, introducing the Yurchenko double pike vault, a first for women’s competition, and her fifth named move. With 30 world medals—and seven Olympic medals under her belt, Biles is now headed to the Paris Olympics with her confirmed ticket.

Douglas, on the other hand, has been improving on her own and training at WOGA Gymnastics in North Texas under Valeri Liukin’s tutelage, recently stating she “never retired” from gymnastics. In addition, she is Team USA’s winning talisman as she specializes in the uneven bars, the apparatus known for the team’s weakness. With the prospects of another skilled Olympian joining the mix of Team US, the question over their triumphant return to the world stage lingers.
